...from from (954) 725-6401
I just joined ATS. I often went to the website to look over certain issues prior to joining but since I joined I have been receiving strange phone
calls from 954-725-6401. They ask for different people...this time James.
When I asked the last name he said he could not pronounce it. When I asked what it was about he said it was for septic service.
The weird thing is I now work in a different country....not in the USA and this area code is from Florida.
I decided to find out a little more about this phone number and when I googled it there are 100's and 100's of people all over North America who
have also been getting strange phone calls from this number.
Is this some "detective" agency trying to get info? It is from the same area where some of the 9/11 hijackers recieved some flight training.
Here is the google link. 800notes.com...

Intersting.
Well, here is one search result for the number:
www.manta.com...
Larkin Publishing
600 Fairway Dr, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441-1811, United States (Map) (Add Company Info)
Phone: (954) 725-6401
SIC:Miscellaneous Publishing
Line of Business:Misc Publishing
I too see how many people are making this claim.
I called it (I have an unlisted number) and it is just a voice mail box - which is full.
Who knows. Maybe some viral campaign for a game.
This site is ineresting to read from people receiving calls:
whocallsme.com...

I did some more research on this phone number. It seems it belongs to a Publishing Company out of Florida who has never published anything!!
A front company for something or someone has been my findings when I come across company's like this.
Has anyone else on ATS gotten calls from this number? If you google this number it is amazing how many people have been getting weird calls from this
number.

Yeah, all very odd. Hopefully someone here has some more info on it...im intrigued!
Even people from Canada have received calls from it. I read where one person answer the phone (and he had caller ID) and after saying "Hello?" some
man just gave him some coordinates.
Weird.

Maybe the phones that have received the calls from that number are newly 'bugged'... and they are just making a quick call to see if the bug is
working OK ?
Could be an ongoing general monitoring of people who are inclined to visit CT Sites.
Just thinking aloud, sorry!

Maybe...if they are bugging in a way that I am not aware of. I work in the telephone/electronics industry....I repair and install telephone
lines...but when the popo want to bug someone they simply install a device that redirects the call through a different switch or they get a hold of
the telephone company and have them do it.
Thanks for the post....by the way the police are always wanting to trace and track certain phone numbers...they have guys that they always work with
at telephone companys...

Last month they were calling all the time and I was about to loose my cool and smash my phone. They would call and ask for someone not me and hang up
before I could say a word. It cant be a scam because they never wanted anything. It has to be something like wiretapping. I don't know what it is but
lets try to figure this one out.

Thanks Skywatcher. I agree if it was some sort of Ponzi scam or something akin to it they would ask for money etc but sometimes they just call and
sit there and breathe on the other end. ....then hang up. When I researched the number I was amazed how many people all across North America have
been getting calls from this number. Very Weird.
news.bbc.co.uk...
www.militantislammonitor.org...
The above links show that some people believe that some of the Hijackers are still alive and at least one lives(OR DID OR RUMORED) in Hollywood,
Florida. Hollywood, Florida area code is (954).....strange but true!
HERE is a quote from the link...
"He was reported to have been in Hollywood, Florida, for a month earlier this year but his father, Ahmed, said that Waleed was alive and well and
living in Morocco." Telegraph UK
"He acknowledges"
Strange.

ok...I think I solved this.
From what I can see they call people whom they think have a septic system. ie. farmers/ people that live in the country etc. They then try to force
them to purchace some wierd thing called Septic Magic. If the person says no...they send it to them anyway. Then they try to force the person into
paying by saying that if they don't it will go onto there credit report. Blackmail kind of thing. So...they are basic Florida scum trying to rip
off people.
.....I did not mean to imply anything by the area code..954...I was just throwing around ideas that followed that area code....trying to see any weird
corelation.
They seem to get some of their "clients" by having some "FREE LAPTOP" ad on the internet if you answer some lame question.
Upon questioning my wife about it she said she had filled out some "Free Laptop" ad that she saw on her Myspace page....She did this at about the
same time as I had joined ATS.
So I think that answers the weird phone calls form area code 954.

While I haven't got a call from this number, I've had something similar happening to me this week. For the past few nights, twice a evening, I'll
get a text-message from an unknown number, demanding to know who I am. I respond, but they ask again, this time with profanity.
Then again...maybe I just hooked up with a girl who lied about not being married, and her husband found out about it.

I wouldn't just assume it's a front company. I worked in the publishing industry for a while. It was not an uncommon phenomenon to deal with small
press publishers that never actually produce anything. You might get an book announcement, but it never manifests. Usually, these aren't really
companies, but one or two people with lots of ambition but a lack of talent, ability or money working out of their home; they'll register their
business at their home address to appear more professional. Or they'll open a small office in an office-park, but due to a lack of the
aforementioned resources, close-up shop soon after.
I bet $10 this is the case with the location. I have no idea what's going on with the number...

Yea...us as well....if you research the calls you will see that sometimes...not all the time...but sometimes they send this "septic magic" crap in
the mail to the poor sucker at the other end and then blackmail them into paying money for it.
sometimes they give corordinates and sometimes they just breathe real loud on the phone. This is happenning to people all across the USA from this
number

I had this a few weeks ago on my cellphone, there would be a secret number calling me every day or so for a week, when i answered it would be silent
at the other end. thought nothing about it but now it's happening to my housephone too. Maybe Stephen King had a foresigt of some sort when writing
his book Cell and this is just the preparation for it. I know i won't be answering any private
numbers anymore and if i notice cellphones going of everywhere i'll head for the door as soon as possibleand hiding in a ditch somewhere . btw, if
they are bugging me they will be dissapointed because i rarely use that thing so they will get a lot of nothing .

It would appear you are not alone in receiving those phone calls. I
googled
the number and got 122 hits. Appears other people are complaining about the calls as well.
Sounds fishy to me.

Mmmm, just a side-thought on this but perhaps whoever the mysterious they are who a making these calls are looking for someone and waiting to recieve
the right answer in order to proceed forward.
In other words maybe they have voice recognition systems running and so when you answer the phone to this call the voice recognition system scans your
voice looking for a certain voice print and those of whom are recieving multiple calls are being multiple scanned becuase their results are turn up as
inconclusive.
I would also suggest that the number is a so-called "jacked" number.
I group in another state or country i have heard can hi-jack a phone number from a completely different area and use that number to make and recieve
calls whilst staying completely untracable from it.
Just speculation i know but still worth a thought or two.

Has anyone contacted the FL Attorney General's Office? Most states have a Consumer Protection Division to handle this type of thing.

And since this is posted in Skunk Works...I'll suggest the most far-out, paranoid, delusional CT thing I could think of...maybe, just maybe, this is
what precipitates the school shootings. A trigger of some sort - cuz ya just never know...
Okay. I'm done.
