This show was easily Gary Marshall's peak in the film and tv world. And though this show was on the absurd side, there are messages contained within rendering the show as relevant as any currently on prime time television.

Oh absolutely. I loved this show. I saw it on TV originally and then on DVD about 2 years ago. Robin Williams had a message for everyone. He really think he's an alien. evident from watching the show. that was not just acting.
