me wonder...
Yup, it's gone.
Well, so much for the free party. It appears that either the copyright owner had them pull it or the government did. I'd say the former, seeing as
other links to the trailer for the video are still plentiful. Bummer. Makes me wonder if this story had anything to do with it. Again, I appeal to the
ATS staff to get this up on ATS Premium Video. I know one mod who is already on it, thanks.
You did a very important thing by starting this thread. Quite a few people got to see that film who otherwise would have missed it. I think there is
great valour in bringing documents of witness to others so that the truth of a situation can be more clearly discerned. For me, you have done great
good, and I hope my thoughts on this thread have not unduly misdirected what you hoped to accomplish.
My personal disposition is that the U.S. Constitution is one of the 2 greatest constitutions (the other being Ireland's which was greatly influenced
by the U.S. Constitution) ever written for the mutual governance of a nation. Inasmuch as the Constitutional principles are maintained throughout
every level of the U.S. government and military, I find it to be superior to all -- but unfortunately it seems that this is more theoretical than
actual.
And behind all of that is the tradition of English Common Law going back to the Magna Charta. We can all grieve that under Blair and Gordon Brown the
United Kingdom has forsaken its rich heritage of securing rights in favour of the European system of law which arises from some of the worst elements
of jurisprudence in Western history.
I was born in Hawaii long, long ago. My baptismal certificate from the little parish where I was baptised still said Kingdom of Hawaii on it. Much
of my life has been spent in my home country of Canada but work, assignment, etc. has taken me to English speaking countries around the world, and
there is not one that had the dynamism and commitment to honest work and corporate decency that I found among U.S. citizens in the middle of the last
century. Finer people I would never know, and unfortunately since the assassinations of President Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King, I have seen the
USA decline in the virtues -- though those virtues are still maintained by a great many people. I suppose that is why I have been given a new sense
of hope with the political campaign of Dr. Ron Paul. I understand the vision of the USA he represents. It is a vision of decency, honesty, humility,
and innovation for the betterment of man. I can only pray that one day the vision may reinvigorate and inspire anew U.S. American culture,
civilisation, government and armed services.
A final thought on the now missing video: perhaps it will appear again over at LiveLeak

or the like and then an update could be posted to this
thread. I surely want the makers of the film to earn their money, and I would gladly by copies of it -- but that can't happen if the Discovery
Channel is sitting on the film and won't allow its sale or broadcast. So much for the freedom of discovery!
