No G didn't create the races, they evolved.

Each race has specific DNA and appearance.

Yes, there are physical differences but at genetic level there are less differences in mankind than most other animals.

Please read the wiki article on race, it is most informative and shows how scientifically and statistically there are very few differences in human "races".

Nah. Disagree. God couldn't be that shortsighted. He's bound to have realised that people, being explorers, would want to travel a bit and maybe even settle down in different countries.

Of course, if you believe the contention you'd made here, heliosprime, I take it you will never even think about living on Helios Prime, should it be discovered that it'll support life, or expect to be accepted by their community.

Anyone here who longs for the day of First (Peaceful) Contact will hope that the aliens we meet aren't as xenophobic and/or racist as some of the contributors to this thread seem to be (or more importantly, seem to think God is) or we'll be in real trouble.

Just remembered a thought I had last night; bit of a non-sequitur, but bear with me:

Let's hope God isn't a racist or none of us will ever be allowed into Heaven. You know, us being not in the least bit Godly, and all.

you ever notice, as was mentioned earlier, that each "type" of human is better adapted foreach climate. Nnow, do you not think that these traits would not be better infused into one being that can survive nicely in all these climates? I htink so. I for one htink all the races should be as one.Have you not noticed how many white people love ot tan? Wouldnt it be better if we all didnt have to?
-for humanity as a whole.

thank yo hidatsa. I thank you for understanding where i'm coming from. Why is it wrong for us, me or anyone to try to understand God? and why does god have to be racist because he seperated the races? maybe separation is good, maybe it's wrong. but who are we to judge god right? God is like us the bible says, so he could be racist, but in a good way. And you all have to understand my argument does not involve evolution as i've stated before and don't want to discuss again. we are taking evolution out of the equation here and understanding why god placed the different type of races in particular spots around the world. it's a very simple concept.

Hey Jedi, care to explain how anyone, even G himself, could ever be a racist in a good way?
How can thinking someone is inferior to you just because they are from a different race be good?

You have some off the wall thoughts and certainly make people think but come on...

If your God is a racist then I'm glad I don't follow his teaching's and I'll let you into a little secret, I don't think he's God at all, he's just something someone has conjured up to justify their own racist beliefs.

Because maybe for god separating the races was a good thing. We don't know what he was thinking. and I don't know what he was thinking. but obviously, we have evidence that all the races began seperated in time. How would you explain that a region has all the same race? lets talk russia for example. why was there no blacks in russia at the beginning of time? why weren't no Mexicans in russia? why weren't any chinese in russia? these are the questions we have to ask. perhaps god, figured it was a good idea to keep them apart at first. and whatever his reason was? I don't know. could be to keep us from killing eachother, could be from spreading disease;could be a 100 reasons. that's why we are here to ask these questions.

So Jedi.....

How many Adams were there? And Eves?

We can follow the paths that populations migrated archaeologically, and we know that they all migrated from southern Africa. So, God didn't separate people, people separated people.

It's been said before, over and over through this thread.

Simply put, violent people believe in a violent God. Loving and accepting people believe in a loving and accepting God. Jealous people believe in a jealous God. So it follows suit that a racist person may believe in a racist God.....

But racist in a good way of course.

I am a Evangelical Canadian creationist. The answer to your question is that after the flood people divided up and moved to different regions. Upon arriving they adapted in their bodies to the needs of the region. This was because people had come from a more pleasant envirorment in the pre-flood world. So people in Europe begame light and hairy in order to deal with a cloudy wet world. People in the far east had to deal with a strong windy world and so their eyes got another fol and their hair went strong. People in africa had to deal with a sunny and hot or humid climate and so got black and very light hair. And so on.
People today show in their bodies the results of a recent separation from the middle east.. Not a long one from Africa.

So what your saying is that none of those things exist within the different race groups

Black have never fought Black? White have never fought White? Asian have never fought Asian? They never enslaved each other? etc, etc.

100's of monarchs, tyrants, dictators etc,all over the world have conquered people's of their own race, some never even came into contact with those of a different skin colour!!

Wars, slavery etc are not always about skin colour. They are about power, wealth, land, food, domination and fear.

It is also possible for people to migrate without the need for violence. The myth of the Vikings is that they all went around raping and pillaging, but that is untrue.Just as many were traders who would settle peacefully with other people, but that kinda thing doesn't make a good story when compared to battles and bloodshed! lol.
The first (known) white people to journey to the Americas were traders,a peaceful practice that continued for several 100yrs.Until,that is,Spain,Portugal,Britain & France decided they were gonna do some empire building.

As for God,i've never found anything in the Bible that relates to what you have said.Skin colour is not even as issue for God.

(also,as the continents were not always in the positions they are now,we can assume that human skin colour was different millions of years ago.Thats if you believe that the sun also plays a factor is skin and hair colour, that is.)

The link below is useful in helping to explain the origin of different skin colours and the reasons for them.

Hey jakyll,
tried the science approach already.
Science, reason and good old common sense seem to play no part in this thread.

Good luck though.

Eskimos tend to live in a harsher climate than Europe but they are not white and hairy.

Many Scandinavians are blonde,a feature that can come from living in a warm climate.

Those that live in the colder climates of Nepal have dark hair and skin, just like those who live in the warmer parts of the country.

Strong wind is a feature of the whole planet, not just the Far East.

African people have black hair, not very light hair.

And just out of interest, their have been many Egyptian mummies with red hair,a colour not usually associated with the African continent until the migrations of such people as the Germanic tribes and the Celts.(1000's of years after these Egyptians were mummified.)

Using the premise that god didn't want the races united was because he could see the potential for a global world order and possibly he saw this as a negative to humanity and the rights for each race to have it's own set of cultural rules, etc.

Just an idea.

Just wondering...

He did anticipate it. but like I said, not in the billions. He came here, created earth and all living things..he then left and left it up to us. he knew about evolution and other factors..but I think he figured we had the brain to understand why we shouldn't mix with the others. Because he knew and we know that differences always cause problems. And for millions of years the separation of races around the world have benefited by staying peaceful. Only when we all saw our differences we began to fight and hate eachother. God gave us that chance, but his original plan was to layout the races spread out around the world. And for obvious reasons. hope that explains it.

if god was such a smart dude and came here placed us and left, why diddnt he just give each race its own planet???? Surley some all powerful, all knowing god would foresee the problems that were to arise.

Personally I don't think God micro-manages our lives like people think. I think when God says he knows the future it's because he knows our nature and what we will inevitably do extremely well, as apposed to knowing exactly what we will do from minute to minute. He gave us free will, so how could he be controlling anything we do? God didn't make man leave the Garden of Eden, man did. God doesn't make violence on Earth, man does. God gets conveniently blamed for a lot that we do, or don't do.

There is only one race, the Human race, anything else is labels put on by scientists.

i understand your point, but on that note, if god created us then he should know our inner workings. Our fear of things that are different, our greed, our desire to advance, and or terratorial natures.

Because dark hair changes to a reddish color as it decomposes. Chemical reactions and all, you know?

They all evolved to suit the climate obviously.

lets talk russia for example. why was there no blacks in russia at the beginning of time?

1. At the beginning of which time..?
2. they get less sun in russia.. there's no reason for them to have very dark skin to protect them from the sun.

why weren't no Mexicans in russia?

because Mexicans come from Mexico.. Mexican climate caused them to evolve into 'Mexicans'.

why weren't any chinese in russia?

see above.

these are the questions we have to ask. perhaps god, figured it was a good idea to keep them apart at first. and whatever his reason was? I don't know. could be to keep us from killing eachother, could be from spreading disease;could be a 100 reasons. that's why we are here to ask these questions.

They started off the same 'race' [african or possibly asian] and then split apart.. it's the seperation of one race that caused them to evolve into several different races.. they didn't start off being different. We are all related.

Perhaps god does not know itself and created the human being to sort it out. Unfortunately, the human being is like the god who created it, troubled.

The human since the beginning of man, has fought for it's own supremacy in the world of man. The age of gods fighting one another here, ended millenia ago, and we, now battle in the age of man for the ultimate prize. Control of the species.

There are stories of two races in the beginning. The pre-adamic and adamic. A tale of two colors. The universe we know is a universe of duality.

If the races were to be apart, they would be on separate planets. But since the gods are crazy, we have to work it like a puzzle.
