I think a tax on ATS points is not a bad idea. Points could start to get taxed for a member if they make more than 25 posts in one day. All the new members would split the points collected from taxes that day evenly. There could also be a charge to use smiley face things, dancing bananas, monkey, ect. It might cost 250 points to use them for a day. There could be a cheaper price if you wanted to buy the use of them for a month. These are just some of my ideas.

I am still not on the tax-wagon yet, but if something does evolve from this, it ought to be a consumable. Something like gas, or toilet paper. Something that makes life easier or advances one's abilities.

But something that requires budget expensing.

I could see a tax, but as with the 'real' tax system, it could get complex. Bonus points ought to be tax free when given from the staff, regular post points should be taxed evenly, prize points or reward points from the Debate forum or Research forum, should be taxed at a higher rate.

And yes, higher income(posting) individuals should pay a higher rate tax.

I disagree PP...this is a website society, no matter how you look at it.
We "look" for people on the board, we "avoid" people we don't want to talk to, we strive to post attention getting info so we will be recognized by our fellow posters...it's a society....

I think that instead of getting points for posting, you should get points for responses to your post...
of course that would be an easy way to keep someone from getting points also...

Smirk, you now are the most humorously sarcastic person I've ever encountered. Wait, no... Wait. Yeah you are.

How about the ability to give points to other users?

I never know what to do with my friggin points. So if say, a user would make a really cool post, I could give him points for that, kind of like when a Mod applauds you.

Or Darklanser could then, really sell some of his avatars/works.

Do you think it's a good idea or not? Has it already been discussed?

You know what I like that Idea

But it would have to be policed or you would have people creating new accounts and running up their point totals.

Happy any time to win a no-bid contract to create and implement a devious, insidious, barely perceptible taxation system for the benefit of the "ruling classes".

My ATS assets are fully disclosed, I have none tucked away anywhere.
