How Much RAM and CPU do I Need?

Topic started on 15-2-2008 @ 10:13 PM by gccradioscience

Hi,

I tried to ask the official SETI@Home Forum how much RAM and CPU speed
do I need. It says to prevent abuse to the system I need a certain amount
of Credits.

Heres my question,

How much RAM and CPU speed do I need to achieve this SETI@Home goal?

I have right now : 1.8 GHz Sempron Processor and 512 Megs its upgradeable
to 2 GB's.

I keep on uninstalling SETI@Home not because I don't want to participate, its just that when it starts it takes along time to boot up.

Please help me out here with this I would really appreciate. Willing to make
friends here to learn more each other.

You have enough ram and cpu to use Seti .Which is part of Bonic. Yes you do have to have credits to start posting in thier forum. I run Seti on my computer. But not all the time.

There more likely someone on ATS, that can explan to you about it better then I could.
