Well, I don't know if you all are able to accept this, but I am willing to put this out here for you to digest in the hope that you will ponder this and attempt to master your essences as well.

Have any of you wondered why sometimes information just seems to flow into your mind? It feels true, and you for some reason know it to be, but it just appears randomly and is about things that you just really can't say that you knew prior to its appearance? Well I figured out what that is. The collective unconsciousness. Yes, not only is it the blending of minds and how all beings respond to symbolism in a similar fashion, but it is an infinite reservoir of information, real and unreal.

Every last bit of information that exists in every dimension and reality is there somewhere. Personalities, beings of great knowledge and power, information, memories, possibly even entire civilizations (past, present, and future), are present and from time to time, even everyday people accidentally access it for a moment and acquire a bit of that infinite information. How does one access it purposefully might you ask? Simply put, you clear your mind as you focus your mental energies to expand your consciousness and ask for access.

I first stumbled upon this as I would naturally get that random insight from time to time, and then I tried seeing if there actually was a Digital Web and I actively tried to uplink to it. Mind you my love of science fiction is quite apparent and I never did find that, but the deeper my connection grew the more information about life, the universe, and existence seemed to just pop into my mind.

Now, accessing something like the collective unconsciousness is a great responsibility, and it took me a long time to understand what the deeper implications of it are. There are a few basic ground rules to really getting the best out of such a resource. First, when asking for information, it is best to ask rather than demand. No one has to share, but the information (anything literally) is free to those who ask in a polite, respectful way.

Second, always ask in terms of what you NEED and what is BEST. For many years I had always tried to figure why in D&D or in TV and movies when people received wishes, something always went horribly wrong. Well it boils down to is that people when given an option to ask for something, they ask for what they want and what people want can always be left up to interpretation.

For instance, when asking a genie "I want this person to love me", he says "PRESTO!" and this amazing (or so you thought) woman or man falls permanently in love with you, and soon afterwards you find you can't even go to the bathroom without this person trying to smother you. Bad deal. But if one were to ask El Crapo the Genie "I am very much lonely and I want you to grant me exactly what I need to best alleviate my loneliness". You never know what you might receive, but it will always be better than just demanding someone to fall in love with you. Maybe a poodle appears, or he gives you the address to a dating website where you meet a wonderful person whom you really care about and become steadfast friends for life.

This is the only way one can use such a wealth of information safely and effectively without suffering horrific consequences. Just ask for what you need to know in the best possible way and you will get what you need. Asking for the perfect thing will rarely net you the results you want or need, as what is perfect? The perfect dessert to you may be a slice of cherry pie with vanilla ice cream, to me it may be tapioca pudding with a smile from my server, and to a Klingon it could very well be moving!

Perfect is a concept that means something different to everyone, ask for the perfect anything from El Crapo, and I guarantee it will be horrific (perfection to him is watching you suffer horribly, perhaps). Best is what best is, the best dessert for you is what it is, or the best way to comfort your friend..

...is the best way to comfort your friend. Look, honestly I want anyone who believes me and wishes to attempt to directly make contact to seriously think this through. It can be a life changing experience, but remember your perceptions of reality can be seriously hampered by what you choose to learn. Ever hear of secrets that man was never meant to know? Well they exist. Who knows what they are, I would rather not know. But if you ask, especially in the worst way, then you could very well end up in a padded room talking to Homer Simpson, and Wonder Woman.

Think of it like this, there are infinite alternate realities and every thing you have ever imagined or have seen on TV, Movies, read in books, or played on video games exists somewhere in some fashion in some dimension. Don't believe me if you don't want to. However, these realities can be accessed mentally through the collective unconsciousness, and the problem is that if you try contacting individual personalities through it, you will most likely get a response, but you never know if it is really that person, or is just your mind creating a replica of what you believe that personality to be like.

Everyone knows how Superman would behave if you contacted him mentally, or Homer Simpson for that matter. Why would you contact them otherwise? Therein lies the danger. What if it is Homer Simpson? Oh joy, you just contacted one of the biggest idiots in existence. What if it is something else? It is difficult to tell. Other beings tend to avoid using names and tend to just grant abilities and knowledge. That is a better bet. Doesn't make them your friends, doesn't make them your enemies.

EBEs are another possibility to contact if you try. No guarantees either. Even if you do contact these people, and they know how, but why would they want to visit you if they know that you can't come to them?

All I am saying is be careful. there is so much to learn and accessing the collective unconsciousness is a way to propel your evolution, but everything has a cost, and if you are childish, immature or just plain foolish, you stand to lose your sanity and everything with it. With knowledge comes power and the responsibilities associated with them. But seeking the best way to understand this gift I am offering you is really the best and safest way to utilize it. Please, either disregard all that I have said, or take it very seriously, please for your own sake.

I have been reading on this site for about a year now, and although many of the topics are interesting, I have never been complelled to comment until now. A few months ago I had this really strange dream, in my dream I was being led to a pyramid like structure and what I believe to be Mayan people were taking me there. A large and heavily painted man placed a small bird in my left hand, and balled my fist around it. I somehow knew to hold it firmly, and take the knife he was giving me into my right hand and sacrifice the bird. The bird closed it's eyes and I felt that it knew and accepted the fate it was dealt. When I awoke after this dream, I have never felt the same again. It left me with an aching for the rest of the world, feeling sorry for them that no one gets it. I knew even before I looked up a dream interpretation that this dream meant I was awakened spiritually. Not awaked to start going to church or anything like that, but I am so aware of the world and it's path now. Almost everything in my life feels petty and small now, except the things that count, love of people and animals, I am no longer eating any meat, I listen deeply to everyone and what they say is usually meaningless, but they need someone to listen. I feel strongly like the world is either speeding up or slowing down, something is happening and I wonder if anyone else can feel it. To me I can see that people are really dead inside their meaningless lives, but if I try to talk to them about coming to terms with the whole 'we are the trees and the air' thing they just think I am nuts. But they are the ones who don't get it. Yes something is about to happen, men and women are waking up to the feeling of it, recently my extremely skeptical husband told me he keeps having this feeling of impending doom, or like something is going to happen that is catastrophic, but he shakes it off and thinks my thoughts about becoming more in tune with earth are off. He thinks there is an explaination for his feelings like depression or something like that. I don't know if any of you are experiencing anything like what I am, but my very soul tells me the rug is about to be jerked out from under us, yet somehow earth itself will save us and provide again, but only on it's terms.

You know, I have found it extremely hard to embrace the concept of mediation. Once in a great while I will achieve a purely meditative state and they are beautiful, but for the most part I have had to accept that meditation is just usually not my cup of tea. Really, if meditation costs you more energy than it grants to you, or if you consider it a chore to even find the time to do so, then find other ways to embrace your spirituality.

I find giving a dollar to a homeless person far more uplifting than meditation in general. Or just try philosophizing through out your day. Trying to understand your self and your life doesn't require meditation. That is just one way to do it, and it really works for some, but for hyper spaz-matics like myself, the peacefulness of intellectual thought has served me far better.

Even playing a stress free video game can bring you into a higher state of consciousness (note I said stress FREE, throwing your gaming system out the window or hitting your cat with the controller is not enlightening!). Much of life is how you look at it, and forcing meditation on yourself when you have infinite options is probably not the best solution. If you honestly have to force meditation on your self, getting peace of mind from it will be more difficult at best, but if you get a lot out of it then do it anyways (I would probably pass out, but that can be constructive as well).

What many new-agers fail to realize is that enlightenment and mysticism is never one size fits all, and that is exactly how a lot of those over the counter magic and spiritualism books seem to come off as. Yes, they certainly can and do work, but not for everyone. I once bought a book entitled "More Simplified Magic" and it turned out to be this hyper complex Kabbalah magic book that I had to struggle with just to get a few pages into at any one time. Mind you it had all sorts of very valuable information in it, but it was like digesting tanned yak leather and I did not make much use of it.

My point is, if meditation is a chore, or is hard to do with your lifestyle, then find something enlightening that you can do within your life. Meditation works, but not for every person and lifestyle. Follow your heart, feelings, and plain old common sense, and you will find something that does meet your requirements in the way you need it to. Whatever that is.

Darcon. I'm honestly so happy to see such a young person being such high level of spiritual consciousness. When I was 16, I was quite lost myself - being deluded by egoes and temptations of modern world. I always knew however, that somehow I seemed able to understand spiritual things more than people around me - but I subdued it, I didn't believe in it. I indeed became very profane and went with the crowd. I regret that I did, but I cannot alter the past. Maybe that even taught me something... I sure did know how to hate. I was full of hate in one point of my live; And now that I've healed myself, I've come to notice how harmful the hatred was for me. I became physically weak, got often ill and didn't had much energy - but when I felt bursts of hatred, I seemed to gain energy from that. But it was different energy and it did harm my physical body, as well as my spirit.

But thank the universe, I became to understand that Love is indeed the way to go. I guess I've been on the dark side as to say; and I personally has been a demon in hell (metaphorically speaking). It took me about 10 years to heal from this, and I still sometimes have trouble to constrain my anger.

I indeed like to believe that you must be an older spirit, like you self put it. Maybe you have body of 16 yrs old, but your spirit must be old of aeons Have you ever had memories that you can't remember being part of your modern life?

Aren't you 17 by the way?

Yes, very well said. If meditation isn't your thing, try to find another. Very good suggestions for that in your post too

I personally had find the way of yoga to be my way, that includes meditation. It also have had tremendous effect on body, it has become more flexible and many of my former pains are gone. But doing this or that, I guess the most important of all is beginning to realize oneself - to know yourself.

what are some easy ways to meditate?

Merely take a good pose, so that your body doesn't bother you in anyway. Then just empty your mind, try not thinking and try be "doing nothing". Breathe slowly through your nose by rhythm of your heart beat - then when you have gained feeling of calmness and it is easy for you to just be still without thinking or doing anything, you have gained meditative state and you can then concentrate to things more precisely.

Great thread, it's still alive and collecting good replies. I think I might just save it for future studying.

Yea man, everything seems dull now, every conversation is always about something Meaningless, yet i listen. I also gave up meat and weed, even video games, like i said earlier in the thread. But things seem to be taking shape. Their have been so many UFO sightings recently, i think the Government has nothing to do but let the public know what they have known for a while.

Even though i do meditate, it is still hard for me sometimes. Like i said earlier one of the ways i find easier to bring peace and harmony into my life is, i put on some nice music, (Enya - Ava Mari) and radiate pure love. It helps me be able to bring more love into my life, that is one of my ways, and you are right. Forcing meditation is not the way to go.

Thanks for the compliment, i am glad you have found your way, it was a hard journey but you made it right. I turn 17 this year. I have not been able to remember any pat lives so far, but a wise man once told me that i was the same soul of Hippocrates of Kos the greek medicine man. Do not know if it is true, but it is interesting none the less.

Many people claiming of being some famous person of the past isn't that bizarre how it may seem at first glance. In fact, I wouldn't get too suspicious even if two or more (wise) individuals would all claim to been Socrates in their past lives. By the way I perceive the reincarnation, this is just perfectly sensible; I'll explain! If we think that just a single atom in us can someway reflect ourselves, if our atoms, dna or genetic inheritance carries the essence of our being, when we die - or depart - our earthly body will disintegrate, and parts of our former self will be joined into other beings, first by decomposition, later by transformation; then atoms and parts of some former being can end up in two or more other beings. Well, I think this can be even scientifically proven, as it is just circulation of matter, but I go further than that when claiming that this old essence can take actual form in it's new manifestation! Then there is always the biological way of reproduction

If you were Hippokrates, and you're so filled with love right now, I think you would make a great healer! That would seem like a good combination. One more advice (for you or anyone): to remember equally develop all the good sides inside you. Remember the balance, it is important to remember the physical body, as it is our temple, even when doing spirituality, education, work or whatever. Enforcing just one side of you can result in a psychological or nerve oriented breakdown.

Of course, listen to yourselves, your body and inner emotions, sensations and intuitions. What feels good (for the soul), usually is good for it. If for example, my or some other people's advices or views seems odd, then they are not probably for you. The most important thing is to know thyself (I feel like repeating myself) and bear in the mind some of the most widely accepted teachings of some great spiritual masters (can be found almost from any religion).

May you all find what you're looking for

Awesome man, just Awesome. My inner voice is always hitting my Ego on the head, Actually i think my ego is a sleep. Ever since my journey has begun, they switched. If you know what i mean. I guess i should say what i have been experiencing. I have been dreaming about two girls lately. The past 4 days maybe. Now i can't really make out there faces, it is kind of blurry. But maybe these girls are my guides, or they are my angels, but i have been dreaming about them in every dream. When i used to meditate i always have seen, like stars in the distance of my mind. Mostly white and blue. But lately i don't need to meditate to see them. I just close my eyes and they are there. One time after meditating i opened my eyes and they did not disappear. They were there in my peripheral vision. Every time i looked straight at one it would disappear. But they were there.
