I have seen that clip too,and your on the ball

I also saw a gentleman walking naturaly in no pain and silent but he was enguled in fire all over his body(english football stadium fire).Very strange thing to see,i am sure a medical student on here might shed some light on his subject.

Why did they burn them?They normaly shoot or behead them,i am lost for words to why they would want to put them through what must be the worst pain before death realeases them

so they burned some ppl to death...dropping bombs on ppl has the same end result as this...death. and al qaeda doesn't even exist so get over yourselves. we shouldn't be over there at all...we are the aggressors...and if the roles were reversed you would do the same things these ppl are doing. yes...if hypothetically the usa was invaded, overthrown and occupied by china, i'm pretty sure some texans would burn to death any other americans who collaborated with the chinese invaders. or perhaps a californian would go into a subway and blow himself up for revenge of the death of his family.

a war on a tactic is a joke as about as useless as a war on drugs...so maybe something else is really going on eh?...

I find it difficult to believe that there are people so ignorant,that they believe killing people because they kill others is justified.This world is the way it is because of ignorant patriotic idiots and religious fanatics.
Why don't you all just put a gun in your mouths and save the rest of us a lot of trouble.

I've heard this excuse so many times and it still makes no sense.

Al Qaeda is not native to Iraq. Comparing their actions to a Chinese invasion of the US (impossible on it's own) and the Americans reacting accordingly doesn't fit the analogy.

These people that are being murdered are Iraqis.

It would be more like, if China invaded the US and then N. Korea snuck in and started slitting American throats.

In Iraq, al Qaeda are the true invaders.

You're going to have to find another reason to sympathize with the terrorists.

first of all, there is no al qaeda. secondly the foreign fighter problem in which you equate to al qaeda because you believe the propaganda hype, is only about 2-5% of the problem and these ppl are mostly sunni's from saudi arabia who are helping their sunni brothers against the shia...so says the us military. iraqi's are killing iraqis...but they wouldn't be if we wouldn't invaded in the first place. no one is sympathizing with terrorists. you are just ignorant to the facts and believe laughable, unverifiable propaganda...

I am not a doctor, but I would suspect that any medical doctors would agree...
they were already dead and were conveinant corpses used as props for yet another "anger video".
Leg moved? nope.. leg fell, as it was proped upon the other, and would fall eventually anyway... they moved like lumps... not live humans... no breathing, no head movement, no reaction from the fluid being poured on them...
they were either drugged into a stupor, or dead, and why would they drug them to a stupor, if they truly wanted them to suffer?
Also, the movement in the trench seems to stop after the three bodies settle into a fallen position... IMHO they are merely somewhat stiff from being dead, and wont fit very easily... (again, no screams... WHA?)

members of our military are regularly shown these "coincidentally captured or found" films... it helps build the psyc of battle...

How better to build the anger at an enemy, than show that they are truly animals deserving of no mercy
And has no one with an inch of sense asked the question "why would AQ want this video seen? when there is no reasonable justification (even by the Koran) for this type of treatment...
It is really the very same type of hideous action that the sunnis, and #es are trying to hide from the public (regarding their haneous treatment of each other)

IMHO the people who filmed this, got the exact reaction they expected (based upon the first impressions of the video here on ATS) and many more will be released. If you were a terrorist group, would you want people to respect your reason for fighting and methods? Think back now... even many notorious terrorists renounced 9-11 as an unfair attack, without any opportunity for "conversion" (required by islamic law)... do you think that a terrorist group wants to earn condemnation by its own supporters? think again if so...

Maybe I'm just a bit slow today, but I don't see the significance of whether these victims were alive or dead when they were set on fire.

I would hope they were already dead, so that they didn't have to suffer so much. But it really doesn't matter in the long run, now does it?

Watch the entire 15 minute video. You'll see many "live" victims being murdered, if that is important to you. Would that validate the video in your mind? Or are you looking to minimize the deeds of the terrorists?

Hmm, these people were clearly alive when they were thrown into the pit. I belive that hey were drugged with something hardcore, and liquid getting poured onto them wasn't such a big deal for them. They probably thought it was water.... As for when they were in the pit, the fire was too intense, and the drug just wasn't strong enough..

Anyway, look at the Monks during the Vietnam War.. They used to sit on the street, and light them selves on fire, and just sit there. They didnt show any pain, they just sat there quietly waiting to die.

Thank you for your polite reply,I felt it was linked to this post considering our pathetic leaders created this hell in Iraq now.

Without our invasion hundreds of thousands of Iraqis would still be alive,and our reputations would not be tarnished by those who act on our behalf but dont actualy listen to us!

Democracy is just hypocrisy on the tip of someone elses tounge.The USA and the UK just seem to steamroller through anything they want without actualy thinking of the outcome or their peoples feelings on these and many other subjects.

I hope these cold hearted killers on this video are caught soon,it was truely a barbaric act and I hope others out there dont meet their end this way

We can't know for sure of course, whether this is propaganda against AQ or for AQ... but we can see which way everyone so far has leaned...

so again... I ask the logical question "what did the group want the reaction to be... did they get the reaction they wanted?"

As someone who has suffered extensive burns, I can tell you that initially, the pain is worse than any words can convey. Anyone who has ever suffered a minor burn can attest to the pain felt when even a minute area is affected.

Multiply that by some factor that would include most or all of the body surface and you can get some idea of what it is like.

Within a minute or two, in the case of massive burns, a person will go into shock and will feel very little.

Within a short period after that, if the individual is still on fire, the nerve endings will be destroyed and the victim will feel nothing.

This is the process. I have lived it and seen others suffer and die from it.

I did not watch the film, so I cannot attest to the health of the victims at the time they were set alight, but clearly, for theatrical purposes, setting people afire who are either dead or otherwise rendered senseless is considerably easier than doing such to a live person.

I've seen most of the beheading videos and I'm convinced that Nick Berg and the others were dead at the time they were beheaded.

Regardless of the details, this is our enemy.

If they scare the daylights out of you, then I say, "Good!"

It's probably made by the US and said to be terrorists as propaganda. Afterall since the internet neutrality pact was shot down, they can regulate the internet and could take it down if they wish.
