At risk of a one line post, I am perplexed by this.
There is a thread currently about the increase in public shootings
ATS thread
with a theory that more economic pressure on individuals translates into this type of senseless violence.
I believe this to be accurate, however, I also believe that individuals, on some levels, are merely reflections of those who govern them.
Bush's administration is guilty of senseless, truth-less violence throughout the world and lays the blame at anything that moves around him. There is
no doubt in my mind that the fear-mongering he is so quick to address contributes to the dis-ease and anxiety of the citizens.
