in addition to all the firefox comments....
ive been using firefox since 2004, no complaints, never had any issues.
firefox also has something called a user agent switcher which allows itself to surf as (IE7, Opera, Netscape etc). pretty cool feature, if you ever were behind a proxy that only allowed certain browsers to surf out this would work well.
in reference to a comment before "drop IE7 and go firefox, then drom Vista and downgrade to XP".... I actually just went Linux and I love that even more than any version of windows.
Linux distributions along with just about all of its software is free and by donation. not a bad route, and its supported by an open source community, problems get fixed faster.
