Imad Mughniyah, who was assassinated Tuesday in Syria, was a man of the Middle East's shadows. He was a terrorist mastermind behind political causes. For him, though, it was as much about the fight as the cause. He shunned the light. He never gave public speeches or lectures. He is not known to have given any press interviews, not even to sympathetic or politically aligned journalists.

After Osama Bin Laden, and Mullah Omar, Imad Mughnuyah was high on the US hit list. It interesting to note that as we move closer to the Elections, suddenly more of the lagre fish are be caught, killed, or prosecuted.

The Bush administration is anxious to show some results of the War on Terror....if this guy was helping the The Iranians and Training Al Sadr forces in Iraq as the articles states, then it was probably one of a number of alphabet agencies,
CIA, Special Forces, perhaps even Blackwater.
