Obama Campaign Workers Display Che Guevara Flag

www.moonbattery.com
To get an idea of what this country may soon be in for, look what's hanging on the wall of the Obama campaign workers in this video. It's the flag of the miserable communist dictatorship Cuba, embellished with the face of Che Guevara.

As Fidel Castro's personal executioner, Guevara established himself as one of the most profoundly evil characters in modern history. The flag displayed by Obama's flunkies is no less sinister than a Nazi flag featuring Heinrich Himmler.

Cuban expat Humberto Fontova has background on Che you won't get from your left-leaning history prof. Illustrating just what it takes to get your face on the wall of Obama supporters, here again are some famous Che quotations:

Dismissing the objections of a colleague who understood the importance of trials and proof:

Go ahead and try them tomorrow morning — but execute them NOW!

Actually, I didn't miss it, but if Obama didn't approve one would think the flags would not still be up on the wall.

Guevara was a paradox and I'm just wondering which aspect of his character might be inspiring Obama. Che could be compassionate to wounded soldiers, he was a heartbreaker as he felt a love life of any kind would hinder his cause and he was known to execute prisoners without a fair trial...sometimes without a trial at all. Quite a selection to choose from.

as I'm sure that Obama visits each local "base" to talk with the volunteers and approves their decor. Reading entirely too much into it.

I'm not "reading" anything into it... yet...that's why I'm asking questions. I would be interested in knowing where Obama stands in regards to Guevera as it would give me a little more insight into his thoughts. I think you dismiss it far too lightly.

Here is Obama's latest response; From

factcheck.barackobama.com...

On Reports of an Inappropriate Flag in a Texas Obama Office
February 12, 2008

"This is a volunteer office that is not in any way controlled by the Obama campaign. We were disappointed to see this picture because it is both offensive to many Cuban-Americans -- and Americans of all backgrounds -- and because it does not reflect Senator Obama’s views. Barack Obama has been very clear in putting forward a Cuba policy that is based on one principle: freedom for the Cuban people." -- Obama Campaign

From Houston Fox News:

"The office featured in this video is funded by volunteers of the Barack Obama Campaign and is not an official headquarters for his campaign." [/ext]

My next question would be when/if the flags would be coming down?

I seriously doubt Che had any impact on Obama's philosophy. It's a Campaign Workers' office, not his. And the image of Che is a pop icon, most people have no idea who he was, or what he did. You'll find him in almost every cigar shop you'll ever walk into as well. It doesn't mean the Cigar shop is a communist third-world country, there's just something about this guy's image.

You see it dorm rooms and youth hangouts all the time. Chairman Mao's image is pretty popular too, even amongst people who have no desire to live or act like communist China.

Oh... wait... that's Chairman Meow... Anyway, you get the point. Einstein's image is really popular, even among stupid people. Anyway. Che's image is little more than a pop icon that has lost nearly all original meaning other than "Cigars, Cool Looking Lation Dude, and Something About Revolution"
