Thirteen bodies found in Iraqi mass grave: police

..However, a U.S. military spokesman said they had no reports of the find and that U.S. soldiers were not involved.

I don't get it. How does the military not have any reports of the find? you mean to tell me that reporters get the news before our military? That doesn't make sense. Maybe they are saying this in light of the fact that the government is now trying to "sell" good news stories and this obviously goes against that theory.
And if they have no reports of this, how do they know US soldiers were not involved. Maybe because these bodies had evidence of torture on them and we all know that the US doesn't use those tactics
