Wow... the first three things I would do is...
1. Let the American people know that this is their country and that we can clean all this crap up and come clean with our citizens, and the world...
of all the dirty operations we have been involved in... Black Op's, CIA, running drugs to our inner cities to keep the poor down, manipulation of
other countries, pollution.... all the crap that has been done in our name but without our knowledge or consent. Any big corporations that have
profited off the slaughter of innocents by direct involvement in illegal programs, would have their assets frozen, and be charged with crimes against
humanity unless they come clean and offer to make reparations to those affected by their crimes.
2. I would let the world know that we may have lost our way, and we are going to busy cleaning house... but in no way should any enemy of America or
freedom think that we are going to put up with any crap from them either here at home, or any country whose people want freedom. I would make sure
that our law enforcement/military leaders know that I expect them to defend America and it's citizens from factions within our government that seek
to destroy the Constitution and enslave her citizens. I would also make sure that military personnel are given a pay raise large enough to lift them
above poverty level. And that the VA be fully funded to care for those who have bore the burden of battle.
3. I would tell the people that together we can once again be the beacon of freedom and truth in this world. That will will work to solve our energy,
education, scientific, health care, poverty, and basic human rights issues that have turned us against one another. And that once we have the answers
and programs that work here, we will help any country or people to also break their chains, and ask them to join with us in a new future for mankind
and mother earth.
We are a good, strong, proud people who have received many blessings from God. To those who have been given so much, much is expected in return. We
owe it to our forefathers, veterans, educators... to pick up this burden that has been laid at our feet. We will overcome, adapt, and prevail against
the darkness that seeks to enslave us. I would ask the countries of Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan, Russia and Australia to help us to heal the world.
I would ensure that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan be protected and allowed to prosper and grow until they can protect themselves.
And I would legalize pot!
Then I'd try and get a good night's sleep and wake up, roll up my sleeves, and get to work all over again.

I'd have to go with Hoax. With the wording and structure of the sentences in your sources, there's not much credibility.
I've spent several years studying sentence structure and word placement, enough to tell this isn't anything substantially true, but just a hoax, bad
one at that.

wow, that's quite a feat! imagine how a U.S. President and members of Congress and a whole nation of readers most feel, knowing that all they would
have had to do, is look at the sentence structure?

It wouldn't really surprise me at all to learn that this was not a hoax after all.
As far as Iron Mountain goes, my uncle has been inside a facility with the same name, and he said it is like a weird sort of sci-fi underground city
complete with its own underground lake for water, and its own fire department.
I live not too far away. If I get over that direction I will try to snap a shot of the entrance.
EDIT to add: I also recall that much of the 9/11 material and evidence is kept at an "Iron Mountain" location.

I, for one would greatly appreciate that.
Also, if any of you get the chance, you should watch some of the youtube videos available. It is uncanny how some of the things mentioned in the Iron
Mountain Report are virtually topics of discussion today and some are a reality.
As one of the poster of the videos says, no hoax gets this real.

Don't get too excited about the pic though. There's just a driveway, a guard shack, and enormous blue building above ground. I'll see what I can do
about getting some gas money scraped up. It's not too far from me, but there's a toll and such and I'm out of work right now. I'll try to get over
there this week though.

Has anyone seen this? Seems that Canada is pretty angry over the behavior of the U.S. and is using a video based on Iron Mountain Report to get their
point across:
Canadians who demand a new independant investigation into the possibility that rogue elements of the US Government self inflicted a wound on
September 11th in pretext for war, profit and the seizure of freedom. The sheer number of lies, cover ups, inaccuracies and impossibilities is
outrageous and we want answers! We demand an outside investigation into the events leading up to, occurring on and following that day.
It is our view that those covering up what happened were also instrumental in organizing what happened. We believe that elements within the US
government murdered thousands of people on 9/11/2001. And made us watch.
We demand:
(1) That the Government of Canada recall the Canadian ambassador to the United States until the US government launches a new, truly independent
investigation into the events of 9/11/2001.
(2) That the Government of Canada launch its own investigation into the events of 9/11/2001 on behalf of the 24 Canadian citizens murdered in New York
City.
(3) That the Government of Canada act on the findings of its own investigation, even if this means taking such steps as declaring the CIA a terrorist
organization and initiating proceedings against members of the US government in the international
courts. canadawantsthetruth911relatedvideos.blogspot.com...

Holy hotpile! That I was not aware of. For some reason I was just thinking that Iron Mountain was just a company that specialized in high security
facilities and probably had a lot of them around the country.
I have to say though, there's a lot of weord stuff around here. Everything from waves of UFO sightings, to underground bunkers, you name it not to
mention that this area has a lot of history as well. My grandfather knew FDR personally. And of course, FDR's home and grave are here in the region.

Maybe you can help uncover something. Just be careful. But I highly recommend, following the links provided here and studying the subject or going to
youtube and watching the videos. Having some background knowledge can only help you.
Edit: Please do not break any laws to do this. It is not worth it.

I think I am going to look into this a bit more. I snapped some pictures a week or two ago of military vehicles being stored not far from me. That got
my adrenalin pumping. Must be careful indeed.

Thanks for opening a new thread on IM, I'm now off to hunt it down and read it.
In the meantime, I'll just point out that Leo Strauss, "godfather" of the Neocons, stated that, for a society to remain cohesive and as a means to
control it, an enemy is required and a state of perpetual war must be induced. If no enemy exists, create one.
We saw the rise of the Neocons under Clinton, with the interregnum between the fall of Communism and the rise of Islamic terrorists. Now they're
pretty firmly in charge, a particularly implacable and virulent strain of warmongers that are taking a sledgehammer to the nation's foundations. The
wrecking crew, as it were, much like the fascists in the 30s, paving the way for a terrible spasm of war and the Hegelian-induced reformation
afterward, which in Europe led to the EU.

How Silent Weapons For Quite Wars came to be, and who wrote it:
 How SWFQW came to be
In about October 1967, I asked my father about a vague memory of something I had heard him say about an aircraft being shot down in our neighborhood
in Honolulu. As he told me about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, he broke down in grief. I don't recall ever seeing my
father cry before that incident. I was shocked.
My father needed some kind of release from the mental burden he was carrying. I told him that I wanted to publish something about the Pearl Harbor
attack with respect to what he had just told me. But he asked me to not publish anything about it because his uncle, Mason Van Dyke, was still getting
a pension and medical benefits and the release of the information to the public might jeopardize Mason's benefits. My father had promised Mason he
would not publish anything about the Pearl Harbor incident until Mason had died.
I obeyed my father for two years, but when the Mi Lai massacre in Vietnam occurred, and our government officials began lying about what happened, I
decided to publish the Pearl Harbor story, to expose and end at least some of the lying and the damage that lying causes. I immediately put a writing
together about the Pearl Harbor attack and sent it to the US House of Representatives and the US Senate (535 copies). Then I wondered how accurate it
was and if I could get the story again. I connected a tape recorder to the telephone line and called my father after providing to him a copy of what I
had sent to the Congress, House and Senate. I asked my father to criticize my work, which he did. As a result of that conversation I got a tape
recording for posterity about the real history of the Pearl Harbor attack.
I then sent a corrected printed copy of the story to Congress, House and Senate, another 535 copies. I attempted to confirm my father's story by
calling people he had mentioned. After recording those conversations, I made copies of my father's conversation and sent them through the mail.
In late October 1972, I met a man who gave me a copy of the book None Dare Call It Conspiracy, by Gary Allen. The book inspired me to write my own
book about Pearl Harbor entitled The Skeleton in Uncle Sam's Closet, published in August, 1973. I sent a copy of the book to each US Representative
and Senator, including Senator Daniel K. Inouye of Hawaii. During the last phases of the book's production, I began reading a book called Report from
Iron Mountain (on the possibility and desirability of peace) by Leonard C. Lewin (1967). I got about half way through that book before other things
got more demanding and I laid the Report aside. www.paranoiamagazine.com...

I believe JFK knew this, and was going to try and stop it. That is why he was killed by the CIA. The CIA did not want all their dirty little
chemical/biological programs made public, and they have continued in the business of selective population control ever since.

Saw an excerpt of this JFK speech while watching Zeitgeist for the first time today. Had to look up the full speech. Then noticed the thread here. So
just had to share...You have to ask yourself how far has America/The western world fallen from the path set out in this speech?

I think JFK was assassinated for more reasons than we'll ever know. I think he had a Utopic plan for a peaceful, prosperous world in mind. The
military industrial complex would not have this.
In this video it explains how JFK ordered Hoover of the FBI to investigate the CIA and it's secret wars. Kennedy repeatedly called for the CIA to
stand down on it's war mongering, yet they would not.

So far, I'm on the fence about the Iron Mountain report, leaning more toward the hoax catagory. I need to do more research of the facts
before I come to a conclusion.
Just because some political theorists came up with a paper that theorizes the need for perpetual warfare to sustain an economy does not mean said
paper becomes national policy. I can't tell you how many off-the-wall, and even thought-provoking political papers appear with official seals (check
the national archives or any presidential archive for any number of examples) are out in circulation. They're just theory and opinion. They do not
necessarily indicate policy or a road map.
Be that as it may, I have found some evidence to forward the hoax declaration of this event.
One of the key pieces of evidence the OP forwarded that this whole event, or series of events, occurred was JFK's warning to students at Columbia
University in November of 1963. So, a little fact checking on my part discovered this nugget:
The JFK Presidential Library plainly denies
that Kennedy made any such speech at Columbia U on the date given.
Many references to this fictitious speech exist in assassination theorist material. Supposedly, the President was discussing changes in the Federal
Reserve and the gold standard, and this topic was somehow linked to his assassination. Others also claim he said, "The high office of President has
been used to foment a plot to destroy American freedom, and before I leave office I must inform the citizen of his plight." But the simple fact is
that President John F. Kennedy did not speak at Columbia University in November of 1963.
This seems to be a major hole in this conspiracy theory. I'll report back with more as I learn such.

We all probably need a little history on Iron Mountain itself for this thread. The facility was a former iron mine in NY that was purchased by an
entreprenuer who then created a protective records vault that was leased to the government in the event of a nuclear war.
The vault, and the company, still exist today, although Iron MOuntain has gone largely electronic. It is still a worst-case-scenario storage facility
for corporate America and to a lesser extent, certain government agencies.
For more information, read this summary.

Lol people use every reason in the book for why JFK died.
- For failing with the Bay of Pigs invasion.
- Putting a stop to the CIA drug trafficking and involving Mafia (<--- I think).
- Reveal the existence of E.T.
- Reveal where Elvis is hiding.
- Tell the free world about what you are discussing in this thread.
- Ban Crayons from the U.S.
It's ridiculous.
