Kennedy's Iron Mountain Report, Truth or Hoax?

Many have said that the Iron Mountain Report was a hoax. You decide.

In 1961, President John F. Kennedy became interested in what the outcome would be if we became a society of peace, rather than one of war. He then ordered a 'Top Secret' study to see what the possible outcome might be. This project was referred to, as bringing America into a 'New World Order.'
Kennedy's Study Group entailed fifteen different fields of expert study topics. The group's first and last meetings were held in an underground nuclear survival area called, Iron Mountain. The report ended in 1966. As many of us know, President Kennedy was shot and killed in 1963 in Dallas, Tx. He didn't get the chance to explain a speech that he had made at Columbia University, some years earlier.

In 1963, the same year as the selection of specialists for this "Top Secret" study, President John F. Kennedy made an astounding statement. On November 13, while speaking at Columbus University, Pres. Kennedy stated, "The high office of the President of the United States of America has been used to foment a plot to destroy America's freedom, and before I leave office, I must inform the citizens of their plight! Ten days later, President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed.

It was recommended by President Johnson that the report be sealed and that only those, 'who needed to know' should ever see it. It was also concluded that the American people were not intelligent enough to view it and understand it.

To quote directly from the cover letter of this report: (paragraph three) "Because of the unusual circumstances surrounding the establishment of this Group, and in view of the nature of its finding, we do not recommend that this Report be released for publication...such actions would not be in the PUBLIC INTEREST (emphasis mine)..a lay reader, unexposed to the exigencies of higher political or military responsibility, will misconstrue the purpose of this project, and the intent... We urge that the circulation of the Report be closely restricted to those who's responsibilities require that they be apprised of its contents..." Those who responsibilities require they know? Would this be the people who will be working to bring us into a New world Order?

One of the members, at great risk to himself, decided to release the information to the public and let them decide for themselves. He released the information under the name of John Doe. The Establishment, quickly called it a hoax. It is my understanding that some larger libraries still have copies.
You should also note that 'Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars,' is also mentioned in this study.

Was this just one more reason upon the mountain of supposed reasons, for Kennedy's assassination?

I'm not sure. But maybe this thread will be the one that gives the issue the attention it deserves. I urge everyone to read the report. There are many, many new members who may not have heard of this before.

It seems pretty evident. We're like a school yard bully just itching for a fight. Now, why is that? Especially when it seems we are out of money and resources. Short answer - it will make us more money in the long run.

I suppose I have had my head buried in the sand somewhere. As this is the first I have heard of this. I was researching a totally different topic and this jumped out at me.

According to Wikipedia, five years after writing the book, the writer confessed that it was a hoax, but, could he have been pressured to say this? Let's take a look:

However, it was not until five years later that the work was confirmed to be a hoax. In 1972, fretting how the Pentagon Papers and other documents about the Vietnam War "read like parodies of Iron Mountain rather than the reverse"[1], Lewin confessed in the March 19 New York Times Book Review that he had written the entire report. It was even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the "Most Successful Literary Hoax."

Even after his admission, however, there are those who believe the so-called hoax is indeed a real government work and was called a hoax to discredit the report. In 1991, Oliver Stone used a quote from the hoax in the movie, JFK; one of Stone's story consultants, former Intelligence officer L. Fletcher Prouty, believed the hoax was real. Many believers cite the Hegelian Thesis model as a theory behind its disclosure.

On November 26, 1976, the report was reviewed in the book section of the Washington Post by Herschel McLandress, which was the pen name for Harvard professor John Kenneth Galbraith. Galbraith, who also had been a member of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), said that he knew firsthand of the report's authenticity because he had been invited to participate in it. Although he was unable to be part of the official group, he was consulted from time to time and had been asked to keep the project a secret. Furthermore, while he doubted the wisdom of letting the public know about the report, he agreed totally with its conclusions.

He wrote: 'As I would put my personal repute behind the authenticity of this document, so would I testify to the validity of its conclusions. My reservation relate only to the wisdom of releasing it to an obviously unconditioned public.'[2]

sizzle, we read the plot the question to me is do you believe there is a plot for a one world government to take over the world? What is your personal thoughts why President Kennedy was assasinated and by who?

A power play is under way between Hillary and Obama will either of them open the door further for the New World Order to take over? Why was it called Iron Mountain Report is that code words other then the name of the report or is it actually a secret storage facility?

Was John Kennedy Jr. done away with ahead of time because the powers that be knew he would win the Presidency if he would run in the future? Why do you think all the bodies were buried at Sea John Jr., Carolyn and Lauren does it make sense? Rik Riley

Then ask yourself: "Who stands to benefit from war?" The answer ain't pretty. And it just maybe all of us. Could the de-bunking of this report merely be dis-information?

I tried to further this discussion in a previously existing thread. However, upon reflection I feel the title of the thread was too narrowly focused and divisive for my purposes. I think these questions need scrutiny from all Americans, not just those with a certain perspective

But my point, and I think the point of the report as well, is - there is just too much financial incentive to turn away from war. The PTB have no interest in peace. Our entire economy is derived from triangulation. Having a "bad guy" to fight. The added bonus to this is how war distracts from real problems in society and corruption in government.

More war means more government spending and private contracting (read Blackwater). More contracts mean more money. This is good for the economy. This is bad for taxpayers and the average middle-class citizen.

With no evidence, all that I can give is theory or personal opinion, of course. But, I have always thought that LBJ had something to do with the Kennedy assassination. Then after joining ATS, I have developed another theory. Maybe Bush was also in on it. And I have believed that there was a plan in place for a NWO for many years.

I think that anyone that is elected could open the door or pave the way, because I do not believe that we really hold the power any longer of our elections.
I think Iron Mountain was called that, because of it's location. will have to look again to be sure.

I believe that John,jr was killed because he was about to reveal the identity of who really caused the death of his father. On the other questions, I do not know. Thanks.

Apparently even Johnson couldn't be 100% certain that the book was a hoax:

Still, President Lyndon B. Johnson apparently couldn’t be sure that his predecessor (John F. Kennedy) hadn’t commissioned the report. According to US News and World Report, the President “hit the roof” upon learning of it and ordered that the report be “bottled up for all time”.

sizzle, when the United Nations trys to disarm Americans within the boundaries of the United States Of America what do you think will happen?
Of the 25,000,000 patriots how many of them and their families will be placed in concentration camps above and below the surface of the U.S.? How many will be slaughtered?

Is this major event building up to be another Holocost like we saw in NAZI Germany during World War II? Since we are the most envied and at the same time disliked country on Earth would any group come to the aid of the Patriots?

When this action is in full force will you stay where you are living or try to move to a safe haven? Do you think this is where the mark of the beast comes into play? Rik Riley

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I always found it strange that a huge document recovery service that can be found on the New York Stock Exchange is actually called Iron Mountain (IRM).

Of course, one of their major service is document shredding.

Are there any possible connections?

Hoax or not, it seems as though the Super Powers of the world are still following the recommendations outlined by the Iron Mountain Report. Peace and prosperity are bad for the world because it leads to higher population. War is used as an industry to increase the wealth of a nation, and kill off the physically fit portion of the poor population (our troops) that would survive the Chemical Biological Warfare (immunizations, chemtrails, fluoride) that governments are using to reduce the population through selective population control.

I believe JFK knew this, and was going to try and stop it. That is why he was killed by the CIA. The CIA did not want all their dirty little chemical/biological programs made public, and they have continued in the business of selective population control ever since.

I believe that there will be a bloodbath of sorts. Not all Americans have become complacent. Such as the survivalists groups. I do believe that they have been preparing for a day such as this. As for the numbers; How can any of us know for sure? I would like not to be one of the enslaved. I would prefer death to that type of life/ or lack of it.

A lot of signs seem to indicate that we could be entering a police-state very much like that of Nazi-Germany. Like the slow-but-sure process of the disarmament of the American citizens. As far as the M.O.B., possibly it couldn't be far behind. Seems like as good a time as any.
If this thing really is coming, there may not be any safe havens. Our only recourse may be to fight to the death.
