Hi,
I did not know where to ask this, so I put it here......

I wanted to reply to a post, but since it was taking too long for me to read up on what I needed to post, I thought I would save my work as a draft piece.
I did that, but I simply cannot find it?
Although, I did find another that I must have 'saved as Draft'...
The screen looks like this, well I did copy and paste/dont know how to save teh screen image.....but close enough.

delete Predictions & Prophecies
delete Conspiracies in Religions
delete Conspiracies in Religions
delete Breaking Alternative News
delete Conspiracies in Religions
delete (THREAD DRAFT) Conspiracies in Religions

I must have saved a few, but there are no 'saved' posts, just a delete with a no (THREAD DRAFT) beside it.

A little confused because I just saved a piece...

My experience is that the draft function is sometimes "bugged" or doesnt work for unknown reasons.

Since then I have never written drafts on ATS but always on my harddrive for later copy/paste.

But maybe someone else will be able to help you recover your draft.

My reply above was not actually posted, but saved as a draft. Apparently I can still see my drafted message in this thread even if I'm logged out. When the draft was saved, the thread was not "bumped". And when I'm typing this reply, I cannot see the draft post, but I can see the other replies in the thread, below this window in which I'm typing this message. I'm not sure how this draft-thing is supposed to work. I never use it. It's better to copy/paste it to a textfile, to be safe.

i don't know what reason you are using the 'Save Draft' for...

but i use it when i'm in the middle of a post reply and i have to reference
something i ran across...
I then open a new 'Screen Tab' or 'window' go about my history of sites visited today (or whenever)... find the site or article or idea that i wanted
to incorporate in my reply post.

i then go back to the thread reply that was 'Save as Draft'
and it's still there... like insurance that the post would not be deleted,
much like creating a file on your own PC harddrive or using a notepad
to store you work until ready to submit as a reply post in the thread.

did i wander from the path you were looking for?
no RSVP needed

I would like to thank you all...
I guess in future I know not to, 'save in draft' too complicated and too much thinking!

But thanks!
The reason I did 'save draft' was because I was taking too long to read an article of a few pages and the it had to be put in my words and yes, I thought I would save it and come back later.
I will save it on my hard drive/copy and paste and then get back to ATS...thanks again, much appreciated all.
