Dear readers,
Let me again refer to this so important ally located in the most strategic corner of the new world. It is indeed a question of relevant importance in these days when we listened in the last year report to the Country of President Bush what are his plans with respect to that nation.

We have listened how the President is urging to the Congress to proceed as soon as possible with the approval of the free trade commerce agreement with that country, among other Latin American countries like Peru, and that is part of his new strategy to boost the American Economy.

The part that we didn't listen, since was also strategically hidden or is an incredible mistake done by President Bush and his collaborators, is that if those free trade agreements finally will go ahead in the Senate and representative house, America is going to nail a treacherous stab in the back of our best ally in the Central & South American region.

If the free trade agreement will be a reality, this will strike a brutal blow to the Columbian economy that already has been hardly punished by the flagellum of the Narco-absortion of its economy and political life , Narcoterrorism and Dollars laundry since 1985.

During the last 22 years Columbia has had a tremendous inflation that has affected in severe way the middle classes pushing millions of citizens, that in other times were productive & respectable members of the society, to be part of the so big population living in extreme poverty.

Hundreds of thousands of well established and respectable enterprises were pushed to the bankruptcy by the so called Open Economy, promoted by so corrupt politicians, like Ernesto Samper and Rudolf Hommes, that were creating in the 1990's the ideal conditions for the biggest dollars laundry operation of the History.

In this way the legitimate economy of the country was sacrificed by Samper , first in his role of economy development minister of the Cesar Gaviria term between 1990 to 1994, and lately he himself as ilegimate President since 1994. Why he did this? well the answer is so simple and is related with the 7 million dollars that the lords of narcotrafic gave to him to finance his presidential campaign of 1994.

The Free trade agreement that President Bush wants to have signed and approved by the congress this year is not necessary for Columbia, that nation has already open the American economy for their products thanks to the Plan Colombia designed by former President Andres Pastrana.

The privilege that the Columbian products has in the American Economy is actually a low benefit that they are earning, thanks to the enormous sacrifice in human lives that the south American country has done in the fight against Narcotrafic. However if their market will be open to the American products they are going to lose any advantage and to be in trouble even to resist such unequal competence of corporations that are producing items in the far east countries but labeled them as "Made in USA". Of course all that money will be for the owners of those corporations that are not precisely the common midle class American citizens.

Three Justice ministers: Enrique Lara-Bonilla, Enrique Low-Mutra and Enrique Parejo-Gonzalez offered their lives in this war against the organized crime, as well as 95% of the members of its supreme court, this only in 1985, and the national attorney: Carlos Mauro Hoyos and the Presidential Candidate Luis Carlos Galan, among thousands of policemen, judges, jornalists, members of the courts, soldiers that engross the six hundred thousand (600.000) deaths produced in this internal conflict.

Columbia has already lose more human lives that England in the WWII fighting almost alone against the lords of war, but also has suffered terrible social consequences like the impoverishment of his civil population: the increasing concentration of the wealth in few hands, the internal exodus of more than 3 million people from the regions of more violence to the poor suburbs of the big cities, and the external Diaspora of 5 million people escaping from the country to save their lives.

Nevertheless, the results against the criminality are impressive:

- The coc aine lords Pablo Escobar-Gaviria, Gonzalo Rodriguez-Gacha and Mr Santacruz were killed;
- The Rodriguez Orejuela brothers, leaders of the Cocaine strongest mafia, and Carlos Leder were extradited to the USA and processed by the justice in this country.

The decision of Bush to support the free trade agreement with Columbia is only part of his strategy to save the so sick economical model of Globalization that is now pushing America to a recession.

I claim that this a disparate attempt to avoid the necessary social and economical changes that the American people are demanding, to go away of the savage capitalism that has been defended by the three last administrations, & develop a more human one, a new deal between all the social classes and for the interest of the huge majorities.

If the free trade agreement is approved, be sure my readers, that this can damage the weak social and political stability of Columbia even more than the alliance between Farc and the Venezuelan Marxist dictator Hugo Chavez.

This is my prediction about what will be their results, so the question is:

Are we going to support such crazy decission when we know very well, from all the history that I have mentioned above what are the consequences to have an enemy in that point of the continent?

The correct decision, from the point of view of Morality, and the one that is expected from the sky is to say NO to this absurd and stuborn Idea.

On this opportunity I want to insist on the point that it is strongly necessary that America lead the efforts of the international community to find a solution of the so long Columbian internal crysis.

As I explained several times about this same topic, in this thread and in others related with it, Columbia is a country that due to its geographical position is probably the most strategic one of the western Hemisphere and deserves not all the atention or interest of the USA as a so important ally but also as a weak point in the National Security.

This weakness result evident if the attempts of the Narcotrafic maffias working together with the General Neocomunist revolutionary movement that is spreading on the south American continent, specially from countries like Venezuela, Bolivia, Equator and Nicaragua, can control the internal political life of this nation.

Everybody can see almost daily from the news that comes about Columbia( it is enough to check the terrible images of former Presidential Candidate Ingrid Betancourt chained to a tree in the tropical forest) to realize that there is a so huge internal conflict in which subversive groups like FARC and ELN are fighting to control important regions of the country against the Government, this through terrorist methods like the kidnapping of the civilians and the permanent extortion of the population.

The most crucial aspect of this conflict is that the terrorist groups are acting all the time under the flag of the social change that they supposely are promoting in favor of the millions of citizens living on poverty. There is a danger that an important part of Columbia will be ruled by Comunism, in the case of FARC, or by Nazism, in the case of ELN, if these groups of totalitarian ideology finally gain advantage over the territory in dispute.

If the Columbian Productive sectors receive another fatal hit, like the one given on the 1990's, when the Narcotrafic could successfully infilter the political class to promote the open Economy, it will so difficult if not impossible for this old but at the same time fragil democracy to resist the stress produced by the terrorist groups aided by the Bolivarian regime of Venezuela or the sandinist regime of Nicaragua.

Therefore It is so important to insist in the point of the non convenience, for Columbia and for the national security of USA, that the free trade agreement purposed by the Bush Administration be approved by the American Congress, since that new economical scheme will not benefit the southamerican country at all but condemn it to lose the control of its own market.

America must, instead to plan the way to conquer the internal Columbian market, to help this nation to do the necessary social changes that are required to reinforce the Democracy, to inverse money in the areas that need more economical development, to give to the Columbian Government, enterprises, Universities, unions and investors the necessary resources to eliminate the poverty giving more opportunities of education or employment to more people.

The enormous cost of the War against the Narcotrafic maffias is practically taking the whole National Columbian budget every year plus the aid of Plan Columbia, supressing any possibility to fix the social problems that are used by the terrorist groups as a political flag.

The grave incident that has happend yesterday in the border between Columbia and Equator ( the death of Reyes, the international speaker of the FARC, bombed by the Columbian Army ) , on the shore of Putumayo River, is going to be the center of a very extensive debate along weeks concerning the sincerety of the Alvaro Uribe efforts to obtain the release of the kidnapped people that are still in the hands of the FARC.

Although there is a internal conflict, this act is will prove to be a grave mistake of the Columbian Goverment, since the dialog arround the release of many civilians will stop and go into a limbo, for many weeks and even months all the process that was running in a satisfactory way until now to obtain the exchange of prisioners will be totaly frost.

It is also important to underline that the Equatorian Government is planning to send a protest through their ambassors not only in Bogota but also in A.S.O and to the U.N.O against the Columbian Army and Goverment since this was an action that clearly violated their jurisdiction , their airspace & territorial integrity.

Besides this, the Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez is going to use this incredible mistake to send thousands of troops to the border with Columbia, so the tension betwen the two countries will reach a so dangerous level. It is even possible that the Equatorian Goverment follow the Venezuelan initiative and their border with Columbia be militarized.

It is strongly advisable that President Uribe clarify if the Columbian Army acted with his authorizaton, if this action was ordered directly by him or not, in order to recover the credibility & confidence of the international community. If the Explanation would no be satisfactory this incident can be used as an excuse to start an international conflict by the other two southmerican nations so it is so important to act with intelligence otherwise there is a real Danger of War in the region.

Behind this terrible wrong decission is of course the members of Mosad, the israelian intelligence that is assisting the Columbia Army in matter of national security and antiterrorism actions. This situation is going to be exhibit publically by the media in Columbia, a more grave error of the Uribe administration that is using groups that are so accostume to don't respect & openly violate the jurisdiction of other states to obtain their goals.

The questions that are going to be in the air since now are :

How can a State like Israel that was practically founded on terrorist methods used against the Palestian civilians to expel them of their lands be a reliable advisor of a Democratic nation in the antiterrorist policy?

How can President Uribe use such a people when it is very well known that the Assesination of the Presidential Candidate and Leader of the Liberal Party Luis Carlos Galan was executed by members of the Mosad working for narcotraficants in 1989 ?

Will Hugo Chavez let pass this opportunity to start a conflict with Columbia, a one that could give him the necessary support of the majority of the Venezuelan people, distracting the atention of his own internal political crysis with an external war?

I can see that only a genuine diplomatic agenda can save the region of the consequences of the extremly volatile situation that this military action has created. For the American Economy a Conflict between these three southamerican nations is a bad news since this will rise more the petroleum prizes, this because Equator and Venezuela are both members of OPEC.

As I predicted the Saturday the incident in the border between the Columbian Army and the terrorist group FARC started a so grave diplomatic crysis between that country and Equator and also with Venezuela, the other neighbor of Columbia and natural supporter of this last nation since both are in the left side of the Political spectrum of south America.

Hugo Chavez has found finally the ideal excuse to create a so hugh political crysis in the region. Besides the fact that it is true that this was a violation of the sovereignty of Equator, Unfortunately President Correa has showed with his exagerated reaction, without trying to dialog with President Uribe or accept his explanations, clearly that he is the new puppet of Chavez, useful to also help to expand of the Bolivarian Revolution to other countries of the Continent.

The Columbian military incursion probably was a mistake in many aspects but also a reaction against the permanent assistance that the leftist goverments are giving to the Columbian terrorist groups or the lack of control in their own borders to avoid the use by them to break the stability of the last trully democratic system of the region.

Also, as I predicted, the death of Reyes means the end of the negotiation for the release of the kidnapped people by FARC, since this figure was precisely the contact with France and Venezuela.

The so risky incursion of the Columbian Army in the Equatorian Territory to hunt the bandits of FARC is paying off a lot since confidencia information stored in their laptops will be a crucial evidence to support the demand that Columbia will open in the International Court of La Hague against Chavez as a Sponsor of Terrorist actitivities in other countries.

Now is time that the American public open their eyes carefully to see that Chavez is planning to finance more of this dirty war against democracies with the income obtained selling Gas in the United States through his own Gas stations.

Chavez is NOW getting ex-Soviet Weapons technology to support his plans of conquest of the Americas. The technicians of this factory are building an AK-47 Kalashnikov Assault Rifle factory in Venezuela , to give armament support to Communist Rebel groups throughout the western Hemisphere.

It is time that the American Government press over Putin to force him to cut any assistance to Chavez regime, this incident is the proof that it was needed to exhibit the true intentions of the Bolivarian regime to become a New Continental Empire of Terrorism.

The Dictator Chavez NOW has IRANIANS operating the oil refineries of Venezuela. It is likely only a matter of time, if not already, before Chavez has Iranian built LONG RANGE missiles, with a variety of warhead types aimed at: Guess Who?

CITGO( the trade mark of Chavez gas stations in America) is NOW in the process of Changing Its Name to PETRO EXPRESS due to the loss of gasoline sales in the USA due to the recent publicity of ownership by Chavez of Venezuela .

Pay atention to this so important point: Every dollar you spend with CITGO or PETRO EXPRESS gasoline will be used against you, to supress your basic human rights, and cut your freedoms. He will start wars here in the Americas that will probably be the death of millions.

As I stated Hugo Chavez is the new third AntiChrist that is planning to start a war in which any form of authentic Democracy will finally disapear of the western world.

God Bless America in this new challange, in the confrontation to this so smart and dangerous enemy but also God Bless Columbia to show us clearly the truth about this new Beast that is menacing us.

Yes thanks, Sureshot is a better translation into English of his nickname, at least it gives a better idea about what is the sense of it to the English readers.

Well in USA Many people, since there is a so close relationship with LatinAmerica prefer to use the spanish original names than the its translation to English.

However the name of the nation, correctly translated in to English is Columbia since it comes from Christopher Columbus the latin version of Cristofero Colombo , the original Italian name of the Discoverer of the Western Hemisphere in modern times.

In USA the historians prefered to use the Latin name than the italian to mention this so important personage, anyway either in the cultivate
language or in the Popular one the person is the same. This is the explanation of why there is a Capital district in USA named Columbia and also a western province in Canada with the same name.

The Name Columbia ( Colombia in italian) was adopted the first time by the confederation of New Grenada ( Nueva Granada), Venezuela ( literally Little or small Venice into English) , Panama and Equator, sorry but that is the correct translation into english, ( in spanish Ecuador), since in both cases is a name derived of the position of that country with respect to the equatorial line. Equator(Ecuador) has that name because is located in that part of the globe not for any other reason.

Francisco de Miranda that was the one that invented this name prefered to use the italian version of the name than the spanish one, and Bolivar followed his decision. This choice has a logical explanation: Otherwise the name would be Colonia from Colon ( the spanish version of Columbus) but that would be totally contradictory since this name was designed originally to be the one of the whole Latin America being free of Spain, since Colonia means in to English Colony.

This is the same explanation about why in German the name of this same country is Kolumbia,as it is in Dutch and Russian too, but in french is Colombie. Anyway is a beautiful name for the only nation on the western hemisphere that took the decission to homage the actual discoverer instead of the first cartographer (Americo Vespucci)of the new world.

Let me finish to say that when I mention a country in my threads I use the most correct translation in to English of its name, followed the British way, otherwise when I mention Russia I must be saying all the time Rossya, instead of Germany Deutschland, instead of Greece Hellas, or instead of China Chung hua to make confortable my Russian, German, Greek or Chinese readers.

This is to congratulate again my Columbian readers for the very nice news that arrived this week with the succesful releasing, by the officers of the national army, of the kidnapped persons that were in the hand of the FARC for about six years.

This is a so nice fact not only for the family of the Senator Ingrid Betancourt, that has all my support, but for all the victims of the horrible cryme of Kidnapping and specially for the American ones that were in a so long captivity in the south american country.

This a so deserved success for the President Uribe Administration and for Columbia in General that has proven during this year that my prediction that the nation will emerge finally of the times of Crysis strenghtened and United to be a new Hope for the world was actually true.

I feel that my Prediction about Columbia in many aspect is already surpassed, this is the accomplishing of a thread that looked to be so dubious for many of my readers, when I opened it.

Now the things that six months ago were only predictions posted by somebody in the web, are now real facts and I am sure the future, although challanging, will be more possitive than my dreams about this great nation.

I knew that this 2008 was going to bring great possitive news and important changes to this that remains to be the eldest Democracy of the SouthAmerican continent and the second of the western hemisphere after the United States.

I am sure that the Soul & Spirit of the Great Liberator Simon Bolivar, first President and founder of the Republic of Columbia feels better and with renewed hope, after the sadness suffered in this epoch in which his native motherland Venezuela, and Equator the land of his beloved and always loyal Manuela Saenz, are both under terrible Tyranies.

As the National athem of Columbia says:
