Whatever happened to all those "Threat Warnings"?

Remember how a couple of years back the news would be filled with us being at "Alert Status Amber", or "Threat Level Orange" or whatever it was.

It was on every news channel, Fox would run a ticker tape on it continuously, it would be printed in newspapers etc.

Where did all that go, it just seems to have disappeared, are there no more threats?

Seems weird the way it was everywhere one day, and the next it just disappeared. Was it some kind of conspiracy to manipulate the population, perhaps for the last election? Will it start again in preparation for the next one?

Yeah, it was a conspiracy to keep the population in fear so the US government could pass bills to increase controls on their own citizens.

You can only cry wolf so many times before people stop listening, but it served it's purpose.

Perhaps they realised that people just dont care anymore, they're more interested in the colour of a celebrities hair than they are of the current terror alert colour.

We, the United States are currently at threat level yellow.
