Very interesting...I see the symbols or whatever they are that you're talking about. I don't really have any feedback for you, just wondered how on
earth you found those out there in the middle of nowhere!

I notice not too far away there's a small group of buildings to the right. I wonder what on earth they're for...looks like only dirt roads go out
there. Very interesting find! Sorry I can't be of more help but I'm a total newbie...will watch this thread with interest and see what others have
to say

The entire west coast of South America is covered with symbols and other
large glyphs. They are thought to have been built by an ancient people who
built the Nazca Lines. There are pictures of a monkey, spider and even a humming bird. It is not known how or why they were built.

In looking around by those coordinates I also found some lettering that I cannot make out. Coordinates are:
18°38'41.75"S
70°16'46.13"W

If you will look to the east at these coordinates...
18 37'58.56 s, 70 15'24.00w
www.panoramio.com...
... and click on the camera there are pictures of these sculptures depicting those symbols. I'm trying to find some information about these but not
having much luck. I found a little info. about the artist here:
babelfish.yahoo.com...
F20070429072435.html&lp=es_en&.intl=us&fr=slv1-mdp" target="_blank" class="postlink">Quiet and colossal guardians of the desert
If anyone knows anything about these, please elaborate.

It honestly looks to me like the work of one of those creepy little artist comunes, But who knows, you might just have something here.
It certainly is weird, and worth noting, I'll give you that.

looking to the east of these symbols, between the originals and the buildings, there look to be the remains of several more of the same types of
symbols. Some in the side of the hill, some look to have been driven on as well, but there are more of them for sure.
