UK society opens membership

Here i am providing a link to a UK society that i feel members of this forum will and should be very interested in, i have just come accross it myself and want to share it with members of this forum to get their veiw on it, as i am very tempted to join and have emailed the society, however i am very wary of joining any institution similar to a cult or anything like that. your opinions would be welcomed.
