Intel Sources: Al Qaeda Recruiting Westerners, Possibly U.S. Citizens

www.foxnews.com

WASHINGTON — The Al Qaeda terror network continues to succeed in recruiting terrorists from the West — possibly the United States.

U.S. intelligence officials on Wednesday told FOX News Al Qaeda has succeeded in strengthening its position in Pakistani tribal regions and is recruiting Western operatives who are better able to help carry out attacks on the United States.

The information comes a day after Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell expressed concerns to the Senate Intelligence Committee about Al Qaeda's continued efforts in Iraq and Pakistan, and the resurgence of Afghanistan's Taliban — the ousted regime that gave refuge to Usama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda terror network.

First a-q is training kids,.... internet cables cut to the mid- east, and now a-q in the badlands of pakistan,... right where musharraf said we couldn't go.

I guess one more piece of the puzzle has just been set in place.

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen this in the news over the last year or so - however, it does contain an element of truth, at least here in the UK.

Recruiters use mosques to influence and target young disaffected individuals.

I fully understand that.

The point I was trying to make (unsuccessful apparently) is that if the US
or Israel is gonna attempt a strike on Iran, it would be in our (US) best interests to immobilize Pak's nukes at the same time.

What I basically mean is,.... this could very well be part of the "playbook".

Well I may be connecting the wrong dots, but,.....

Does anyone think there will be an attack on Iran without securing the paki nukes?

This sure seems like a good cover story for going into pakistan.
