Back when the DARE programs were in full swing these "surveys" were pretty common.
I have always instructed my 14 yr old not to participate in these things and if they caused him grief for refusing, have them call me immediately..
Fortunately, so far, we have never had any issues with the schools regarding this.
The one thing thats irritated me though is the military coming to the schools, trying to pump there adolescent hormones up John Wayne style.
My son came home from school one day telling me he wanted to join the Army before he went to college, something Ive always discouraged.
Apparently the school showed the movie "Red Dawn" one day, followed by a visit from Army and Navy recruiters, this school is 6th, 7th and 8th grade btw.
