I was thinking about this while watching Conan O'Brien last night. I realized that the networks are pretty much trying everything in their power to
keep their ratings up during the writer strike. This then got me thinking about the coverage Stephenville got. We keep assuming that it is the start
of disclosure, but couldn't it just be that the networks saw this as a chance to get their ratings up? I haven't checked yet, but I'm willing to
guess that the Larry King episodes talking about Stephenville had higher ratings than other recent episodes. Even though people don't believe in UFOs
doesn't mean they aren't going to be interested when someone says they've seen one. Now, thanks to this coverage you have a lot more people
watching the sky, so you're going to get more reported cases, many of which are probably misidentifications. More likely than not, it's not the
number of UFOs that have increased, but just more people looking for them. This is just a theory, feel free to comment.
