I lvoe this song, why? It represents a time, if only for 24 hours, the world comes together in celebration. All over the world New Year's Eve is celebrated. From the Ball Drop in Times Square to Big Ben's Chimes to Tokyo and even the Middle East. This song represents a time when war, famine, hatred, sickness, are forgotten.

But, what does Auld Lang Syne mean? Anyone know?

Auld is a word commonly spoken in Scotland and North East England meaning Old, (similair to Cauld for Cold).
Lang - Long.
Syne - Since

Phase literally means "Old Long Since" or Long, Long Ago.
