George Galloway and other main figures in Respect have also expressed their strong opposition to other left candidates standing against Ken Livingstone for Mayor of London. It is believed that the SWP's Lindsey German intends to stand.

I'd like to see where exactly Mr Galloway 'backs' Ken. I saw that IFE have backed him (i.e. Bari and Respect's Council Leader Abjol Miah), but I didn't think GG had signed anything saying that.

After all, the two despise each other.

I was under the impression that Mr. Galloway lost all respect when he made his famous big brother cat impression. This is the video that i am talking about, i am sorry that i could not find a better version.
