GCSEs and A-Levels are set to be 'replaced' by a new diploma system, with flexible exam timings, which would allow bright children to begin
university at 16.
GCSEs and A-Levels are not going to disappear, but be folded into the new diploma system. The new system would also allow for vocational
qualifications and extra-cirricular activity to be counted towards it. The grading system may also be divided, into A1, A2, B1, B2, etc
However it is believed that businesses are slightly outraged by this.
