You heard it here, or then again, maybe this is an old idea
that I just have not heard yet, but...

I predict that- of course- McCain or Romney is going to get the
Republican nomination.

It doesn't matter which one gets it,
because whoever gets the nomination
is going to ask RON PAUL to be his running mate.

By doing so, the Republican candidate will gain the support
of those invisible millions...
that very large and very real segemt of society-
both Repubican and Democratic- that wants Ron Paul to be President.

This huge 'fringe' coupled with the 'mainstream' that supports McCain or Romney as the Presidential candidate, might just beat the Democrat.

I am a Democrat,
but I like Ron Paul and putting him on the Republican ticket-
even as a #2 man- makes me pause as I go to vote.

Without him as VP, I vote left party line every time.

that is my prediction...

is this based on anything other than personal optimism? were any of the candidates quoted as saying they would ask him to be VP or have they hinted at such a thing? if so we need some links to sources. =)

Not a chance. The other Republican candidates, much like the majority of the party itself has no respect for Paul.

Did you watch the debate last night? Every time Paul spoke the other 3 were snickering at him the whole time. They want nothing to do with Ron Paul, and that's obvious.

I'll bet he could win Vice President of the Internet though.

He has said, more then once, that he could never endorse anyone who doesn't feel we need a declaration to go to war. He supports a more constitutional and conservative Republican platform then the other candidates. He’s the only one running that would even cut our net spending.

He won’t support a undeclared war or gross federal powers, it would discredit him. It's about politics, not the guy on the ticket.
