Google Syndication Ad Conspiracy??

It used to take me only about 10 seconds to download the most active topics on ATS. The last 3 days it now takes about 4 minutes to download this small bit of information!! I've noticed it's directly related to the google ads!! Could the powers to be or mods please explain to me why this is happening and is anybody else having this problem!! I'm also disappointed to now see some pharma ads running. Thanks!

When Google ad serving infrastructure has problems, every service who uses them has problems. Common script errors, slow servers, deployment problems, etc. As far as what ads get served, ATS only gets to say what ads they don't want served. Google decides, based on what they think the pages are about + highest bidder + what ATS doesn't want, which ads to show. The algorithms for doing that are very complex. Basically, an auction runs every time you view a page and the winning ad gets displayed.
