Pilotless spy plane crashes near N. Korea

A pilotless South Korean spy aircraft crashed Thursday near the border with North Korea and there were no casualties on the ground, the South Korean military said.

I wonder if it was really a S.Korean spy plane.
Maybe the US is looking out for New activities taking place in N.Korea.

Did it crash or was it shot down? If it were shot down, they would be smiling ear to ear. If it were a crash, whoever the drone belonged to, is in for quite an embarrassing time. I wouldn't want to be the owner, especially if I had to deal with Kim Jong Il.

S.Korea does have it's UAVs (www.korea.net...) ,
and there are rumors about global hawks
it bought from US.
United States can easily use its sattelites for strategic recon, however
S. Korea has to use UAVs for tactical recon. It is a "hot" border, after all.
I do not see US involvment in near future (remeber,China is near by.)

I think it was a crash. But not 100% sure.
