A new book by an FBI consultant on international terrorism says Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network purchased 20 suitcase nuclear weapons
from former KGB agents in 1998 for $30 million.
The book,"Al Qaeda: Brotherhood of Terror," by Paul L. Williams, also says this deal was one of at least three in the last decade in which al-Qaida
purchased small nuclear weapons or weapons-grade nuclear uranium.

Among the credits for author Paul L. Williams listed on the back cover of Al Qaeda: Brotherhood of Terror, is his role as ìconsultant on international
terrorism and organized crimeî for the FBI. It is difficult to determine the type or quality of consultation Williams offers the FBI. Judging by the
content of Al Qaeda, Williams seems to have done little more than compile newspaper clipping files and fact sheets from the FBI. Indeed, Al Qaeda is
the sort of book one would expect to receive free of charge as inducement propaganda to a kooky sect or medical cause. It reflects FBI approved
ìfactual information,î lot and lots of photographs of terrorists from FBI files and precious little else.
