John McCain The Republican Frontrunner?

Topic started on 29-1-2008 @ 10:27 PM by Ketzer22

According to yahoo.com John McCain is somehow the front runner of the Republican party. How is this possible? He has won 1 state primary so far.. this, to me, does not mean that he is even close to the front runner. Notice which state he won. Florida. The same state Bush won to win the election in 04. If there isn't corruption in the Florida voting system.. well, there are no ifs about it.

news.yahoo.com...

Well, he is the front runner now because he currently has around a 30 delegate lead over Romney after winning Florida. This is the same reason it carried Bush to the nomination previously.

Florida carries something like 57 delegates and is a winner-take-all state. A win in Florida usually puts that person into 1st place in the primaries.

No conspiracy here.
