After reading the op's links I decided to look into the same thing happening in my city and to my surprise it is on the table in my city council as well. I agree with the charges and wish that congress would get it through their thick skulls that "We the people" know that there is something not right about our war with Iraq and all we ask is that they look into it.

Anyways, I did the only thing that I can do and sent a message to my representative to urge him to look into misconduct from our executive branch. Not that it will help since I really don't feel the government has been for the people for some time now.

Seven years to late if you asked me but then again you didn't ask me

They should get daddy to, he is the puppet master.

I didnt realize that what amounts to a City Council meeting had the authority to decide who gets arrested when they enter the state that the city resides in.
I believe that it would at least involve a District or State attorney, a Judge and probably a Grand Jury of some sort to determine if there is a crime.

Angry, vindictive Democrats is all this is.

Bill Clinton was impeached because he committed a crime. He lied UNDER OATH. This is called perjury and it is illegal.

Now that Bill, the waste of time, has been replaced with a Rep., you want to impeach him "back". Very childish.

I am definitely not advocating his style of reign. (He's no Reagan) But he has to commit a crime to be impeached and last I checked, he makes sure to pass a new law or an amendment to an old law before he takes a step in that direction, thus making it legal. Maybe not right, but legal.

I'm just saying how about finding a legal stance with some foundation to go after him with.

This is little more than a stunt.

The order of power is Federal followed by state followed by local.

The president’s person guards (secret service) would be more than enough to stop the locals. If not, the federal military would roll in and it would stop NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:@@

What sheer, utter nonsense. Don't these city councils have anything better to do than pass meaningless and unenforceable resolutions? Perhaps they should all be arrested, fined and replaced with persons who really are trying to improve their cities.

I so agree with you...

Nice to see a city that has nothing going on that needs their attention. What a load of utter tripe.

Well it is easier to do this "stunt" than drive illegals back across the border.....

According to Town Clerk Annette Cappy, organizers of the Bush-Cheney issue gathered enough signatures, and it was up to the Select Board whether Brattleboro voters would consider the issue in March.

Brattleboro residents are voting in a town meeting March 4th. The select board isn't debating wether or not Bush and Cheney should be arrested if he enters the state. Thats up to the residents voting in march. If you think this city is wasting its time, than I guess there never was any hope to remove these criminals from office and the basic rights Americans hold as citizens are of no value.

"This is exactly what the charter envisioned as a citizen initiative," Daims said. "People want to express themselves and they want to say how they feel."

Everyone on ATS should do the same in their home towns! It would be so awesome if we got these two goons out of the white house

Cast your ballot in November like the rest of us. I promise you that they'll be out of office early next year.

Have no fear, It's in the works !!!!

there are already 3 more cities (one in kentucky,
one in california and one in colorado) who are
following suit with their own arrest warrants
for Bush & Cheney. If it all passes then Bush
& Cheney won't be able to go to Vermont, California,
Kentucky or Colorado !!!! Maybe soon we'll
drive those 2 out of the US altogether. The
first ex- US president exiled from his own country.
What a precedence !!!!

Pretty soon he won't be able to hide behind
his curtain of Secret Service Stoolies ...

More folks are jumping on the Kucinech platform.
If congress won't impeach those 2 criminals,
then by God we'll do it for them. Then we'll
arrest our congressmen for supporting them.

Impeach Bush & Cheney or go to jail with them !!!
The choice is yours. The people have spoken !!!

more cities source

let me tell you what I'd like to see on the
6 o clock news (MSM)

I like to see Bush and Cheney arrested in Brattleboro VT
while the Secret Service stand idle by while the Brattleboro
Police use waterboarding techniques on both of them to
get confessions relating to 9/11 and other atrocities
including the devaluation of our rights and the lies and
misconception of war intel for going to war.

Bring that bit of footage on ....... YEE-HAWWW !!!!

I'd buy that DVD and watch it more than the 9/11 footage !!!

LOL

that's not true, I'm a Republican and I want their butts
out of office .... NOW !!!!

As also a Republican former senator from Kentucky
who wants the same thing.

So it's not just democrats, it's all walks of life.
We're all True Patriotic Americans, doesn't matter
what party affiliation is on our voter cards.
