Middle-East "Expert" Cheney to Advise Romney

news.yahoo.com

The Nation -- Crawling from the wreckage of the Fred Thompson for President campaign is the former principal deputy assistant secretary for Near Eastern Affairs at the State Department.

This Bush administration specialist on the tenuous circumstances of what may be the world's most volatile region now joins Mitt Romney's campaign as a "senior foreign policy adviser."

This is not the sort of development that would excite many campaigns. Washington is sick with "principle deputy assistants" peddling their inflated resumes in search of new positions. They are the departmental hangers-on -- desperate to retain ranking accorded them only by virtue of political or paternal connections -- who attach to new campaigns in hopes of getting work in another administration.

Cheney is an expert at Middle Eastern power vacuums. He's also great at building oil pipelines and enlisting the help of militias to fight national troops.

He's also great at shooting his friend in the face hunting. I heard he is really good at that though.

Don't worry, Romney is already in a sinking boat. No Republican can stand up to Billary and/or Obama.

If only Ron Paul and Kucinich run together, then we maybe would have a chance at saving the world. Otherwise, we're all doomed.

Just so we are clear, the article is not talking about Darth Cheney, himself, it's his daughter that will be advising Romney. The only take-away is that the neocons are so in-bred. Why? Because you can only share the wealth and power with just so many people or else it stops being fun!

It is easy to be considered an "expert" on the Middle East when your family history shows that you'll simply kill off anyone who gets in the way of your idea of "peace"

Any Cheney is bad news and I agree with the OP that it just gives one more reason to run away from Romney (as if we really needed more reasons). I must say though, that it really seems to me that McCain will be the Republican sacrificial lamb to lose to the Democratic Presidential Nominee as our dog and pony show that we call "The Election Process" continues to unfold.

Is it just me?

Or is this a case of the fox guarding the henhouse?

This is nearly as funny as blair becoming mideast envoy.

Just short of a massive attack on the voting machines, I would suggest a different approach. Play the game they do. Anyone know a God Loving, Freedom Loving, umm, err, comp wiz that could spread the truth?

I suspect it would be nothing for Gods divine Angels to watch over each and every voting machine. Pray.....
