Considering McCain's 100-years in Iraq comment, I don't see how this could be brushed aside as "of course the sun will rise tomorrow."

McCain = more war. But probably not declared, of course...

I don't know, to me it just sounds like someone that isn't BS'ing. I mean if I were to ask any of my colleagues if they thought that there would be more war in the future, they would all say "of course".

I also think he is telling the truth about Iraq as well. We didn't go there to "spread democracy" and get out of town. I think the reality is that we are probably going to be in Iraq for a very long time. Politicians just aren't allowed to say these things.

I am not defending McCain as a politician nor as a person. I wouldn't vote for him if he gets the nomination. I just think he honestly answered some questions with answers that people don't want to hear, because we are all so used to hearing nothing but lies.

I think what he is really saying is

"I'm sorry americans, but I'm going to need you to bend over and spread your legs and unfortunately, I'm all out of K-Y jelly"

Whatever happened to the "peace through strength" message???

Openly acknowledging the possibility of future wars may be a realistic viewpoint, but a colossally stupid political position to take.

I'm a firm believer that if you signal a conclusion of any kind, however minor, you make that possibility more likely.

We need leadership that will focus on peace, prosperity and liberty. Not war, hardship and sacrifice.

I swear I don't recognize us anymore.

I have found this same article in several different places but I am not sure of it's authenticity as being penned by William Cooper - However - While I mean no disrespect to the man (McCain), the idea that the essay puts forward is, at the very least, something to think about.

Manchurian Candidate

When I look at his voting record in the United States Senate I do not see a conservative Republican. I see a record that reveals a closet socialist, a proponent of the New World Order.

Love him if you must, honor him if you can, respect him in his office, but don't ever vote for him again. It was a mistake to put him in the Senate. It would be a much bigger mistake to put a man who has been tortured and brainwashed by communist mind control experts for over 5 years in the White House.

I simply cannot understand why people are apparently ignoring the hard, cold truth about this guy. He is anything BUT the guy he's advertised to be.

Read thos for just a smidgen of the details:

McCain

Is THAT the kind of guy we want as president??

PEACE!! What a concept! Of course, we'll never see it in our lifetimes, but I guess we can all hope for it. If McCain is so sure there will be more wars that those of us young people in this country will have to fight, then who exactly is going to fight them?? 70%, maybe the number is even higher now, of the American people oppose the "police action" going on in Iraq and Afghanistan right now!! How will they expect us to go along with another war....can anyone say "false flag operation". What could motivate the people in this country, just as 9/11 did, to get us behind another BS war under false pretences?? Maybe something much worse. I know it's the doom and gloom type of stuff but consider this....are those in power who have power now going to just give up the reigns by allowing an election to occur so they are taken out of office??? You think Cheney is going to give it up??.......You think that's AIR you're breathing now?? Hmmm....Food for thought....Maybe they are just setting the stage now for the next Prez...

Imagine that... McCain has promised that if you elect him, there will be more wars. That's as bad as Mondale when he declared that if you elect me, "I'm going to raise your taxes".

Everyone should be concerned about a little man with a big chip on his shoulder. A hot tempered man who has promised to take this nation "to the gates of hell" just so he can avenge Bin Laden.

If McCain gets the nomination, I will vote for Obama, and I am a Christian conservative with republican roots.

No McCain !

True.

But, a candidate could say: "at this time, there will be no war under my presidency" if one planned no military action as of the current moment. Apparently John McCain is already setting his sights.

I don't think there's one person on this planet that actually believes we live in a world (right now) in which war will not be waged. What John McCain said is common knowledge and pretty much goes without saying.

But, to distinctly say "there will be wars" sets off alarms for me.

Another would-be "War President" that has a major dis-connect with the people of this nation.

Oh so you are McCain's head shrink. Does he talk about how he commited treason during nam by selling out his fellow soldiers and becoming best of buddies with the prison camp commander

Is that all you guys know how to do is put words in people mouths! My god the man makes a damn comment thats ALL and you create an entire thread full of innuendo and loads of BS. You'll have him ending the world before the days out for petes sake. Guess asking if you are going to vote for him is out o0f the question. Thats ok I'm not either but I won't be voting on what my crystal ball says

Did I say I was his shrink! Did I say anything other then what I DID SAY
NO! I did not so knock it off!@

If you got Proof he gave away info about wmd's then show it ! As a matter of fact show proof for all that you have alleged about the man.

I would think that kind of thing would kill his entire plans for the white house. We could all thank you for saving us. Ill even help you get in the press here in AZ. So please give us the names of the commander of the POW camp he was best chums with. Then all those he sold out too are they willing to testify under oath? Why haven't they yet?

Can you PROVE he is a traitor? Would you testify under oath he is a traitor and show proof prima facia that he is? I'm sure the American public would want to have him behind bars rather then a desk in the oval office. Please share this proof

I think we'd ALL like to see that! McCain Traitor! If you got the proof I think I can get that in the headlines in my state. Hell you could make that headline news all over. Or would that be something the media would keep out of the press? It's worth a try ?

What have ya got?

I can because that article is all garbage.

if we are going to be judged by the stupid ways we acted as a kid then count yourself as doing stupid things too.

Was it HIS "fault" he went to private schools?

Jealous?

If someone wants to write a hatchet job I have seen articles that paint a bad picture of McCaine that have more truth in them in the first sentence that are more accurate then that whole article written by that commoner

yeah thats what he sounds like a commoner who likes to make people mad at anyone who grew up with some privlege. pititful

John McCain was subjected to horrors few of us can imagine.

I believe that while his voice and opinion are no doubt valuable in the U.S. American context, he would be a disaster as U.S. President. How does one make rational decisions when one has been tortured over years in one's life. It must be a very difficult matter, and it seems to me that US Americans would be as ill-advised in voting for John McCain as they would be for any person whose life includes coping with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

There are too many unanswered questions about the long-term effects of such sustained torture, and the USA cannot take a gamble on a figure like McCain as it previously did with George W Bush and Dick Cheney.

This latest McCain comment should come as no suprise to anyone. I mean after all this is the same guy who sang
'Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran' to the tune of a popular Beach Boys song.
He's just another Cooperate Pig with phony ties to the Christian community. A vote for McCain is only going to get us more of this insanity.

arms sales are the second most profitable industry on the planet behind oil,so it would dictate those who have interests in arms sales would always want to proliferate conflict in order to further their profits,

it really is that bad people.war has become another industry for the big boys to get rich out of.

says alot about a supposed christian nation doesnt it?.

Finally,, a sensible answer to John McCain. He hasn't been all that great a senator for AZ so I have my doubts about his being President for many of the same reasons you mention here. Bush and Cheney never served in the REAL sense of the word. Bush was AWOL more then he was on the job.

I don't trust mccain and now with this statement I think he is morally wrong for the job. We don't need any more war, we need to fix our way of life and give back freedoms we lost after 911. Any one up for election who doesn't tell us we need to get out of the middle east, needs not be elected.

We need some one in high command wanting to fix our problems here and not some one elses problems on the other side of the earth. No wars, cut the spending, cut the money laundering, cut the lies.
