Defenty an interesting find.

I think this statement is important to note.

The group hopes eventually to use engineered genomes to make organisms that can produce clean fuels and take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

All those things are very good to work toward, and I hope they are all fruit full. If they are maby this world is not as doomed as I usually think it is. But for every good thing there will be those looking to make bad things. And it seems the bad things are always easier to make.
Vaccine resistant disease. More deadly chemicals. Explosives easier to hide. It could all happen.
So how much faith will you put in your fellow man?
