I came across a strange sidenote to the 1947 famous Kenneth Arnold sighting of silver saucers over Mt. Rainier, in the new book Need to Know by Timothy Good, the UK researcher.

It mentioned that Arnold had been up in his plane possibly searching for a recently crashed military plane that had 32 people on board, there was a reward for finding it.

The weird thing was- when the military finally found the missing crashed planes wreckage, the fusilage was intact except no trace of the 32 bodies could be found, even after a search in the wider area.

There might be more details, but thats what I remember reading in Need to Know, a 2007 book.

I never heard this story before.

You know, that would be very fascinating if it was true, but I doubt it is. What's his sources for that bit of info?

All I have heard about Arnold was that he was just flying, w/ no reason given. I assumed for leisure.
