i came across this picture awhile ago

the only info i could find about it is, it is somewhere in a russian forest
that is all it says and i have tried to find out a bit of info on it but came up with zilch

is it just a power station or is it something else......

on the same website there is this russian UFO tank

there doesnt seem to be a turret on it, maybe they fired green light at the enemy

any info on both pictures would be very appreciated

The first picture I know I have seen discussed somewhere in these forums. I will try to find the thread.

The second one I already found one discrepency on. The opening description states that there was only one tank made and it was never serialized, yet the following pictures show a significant number of them in storage/assembly/whatever.

I don't think the whole truth is being told about the pictures.

thank you TLomon
i am glad the first pictures have been discussed. i would love to know just wtf it is
it just looks so odd.

as for the UFO tank, i am not so sure that all of the tanks are of the UFO kind, the rest of the tanks looks like they have turrets but i am not sure of that fact.

i do find it hard to believe that russia was just gonna run this into battle

it might have ended the war a lot earlier if they did OR just maybe

they did bring into service at the end and it helped them getting into berlin.

you just never know

thx TLomon

Found one article. I think there is more.

Strange Towers in a Russian Forest

Has a ton of pictures, ton of links, and lots of explanation.

Now going to find some more info on that tank.

Sorry for the bad translation, but I can't read Russian. Full article here.

It is created in 1963 in KB of Leningrad Kirov plant on the base of rocket tank 287. On the tank they established two (!) gas-turbinegas-turbine of engine. Armament was not established. Apparently works stopped after testing of undercarriage. Basic TTKH Of object 288 Combat mass... 36,5t engine... GTD $$RTGTD - GAS-TURBINE ENGINE -350T, ya00l.s. (2sht) the maximum speed... of ''km/ch the radius of action... of shch00km On the tank it was intended to place the launcher OF PTUR "typhoon", the instrument of 2kh"emm" mosquito "and the pair of",'2mm of machine guns. Photos of the author. Wildly I apologize myself for the low quality.

Simplified version: Object 288 was built in 1963 as an experimental version of rocket tank 287 for testing of gas turbine engines (GTD).

One of my contract jobs in 1998 and 1999 was doing internet research for companies. I learned a few tricks.

I'll get right on top of that Russian right after I learn conversational Espuar and Dethak.
