Have you 'Word Whomped' lately?

My Grampy always had great advice for the family.

One thing that stood out in my mind, was him telling me to "Get knowledgable'.

"Go out and TAKE that knowledge!" Find out the origins of a word.

Pretty much once a week, I like to take out the ol' Dictionary and expand my Brain Lingo, as I like to call it. Then, re-arrange the word down to smaller words.

For example:

The word PEOPLE, can contain many other words:

pep, pop, pope, pole, pol, plop, peel, ope, lope, lop, eel....

I love walking, and chewing gum at the same time. When I'm online with you guys, mabey waiting for a response to one of my threads, I'll have a few windows opened.

One of my choice places to visit is: POGO.com

There's a word quiz game thread floating around here too..
The site actually donates more grains of rice to starving kids for every word you correctly choose the right definition.

There are 3 levels on Whompy. I got bored with the frst 2, and have been with level 3 for some time. Plus the points are better on the that level too!
