Fire breaks out at Vegas' Monte Carlo

www.usatoday.com

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a three-alarm fire has broken out on the roof of the Monte Carlo hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Flames and plumes of black smoke could be seen on what appeared to a west-facing rooftop of the resort.

The fire was spreading from the center section of the hotel across the roof line.

Las Vegas fire spokesman Tim Szymanski says city and county firefighters were on the scene. The fire was reported just before 11 a.m.

A dispatcher at American Medical Response said ambulances were being dispatched to the scene, but said there were no immediate reports of injuries

Yea then everyone will say-wow looked just like the towers collapsing which secretly reinforces the 'official story'.... Just like that bridge with all the fuel that collapsed

So, is it insurance fraud, terrorism or a genuine accident? My vote is on insurance fraud. The Monte Carlo isn't exactly keeping up with the Jones' when it comes to Vegas casinos.

Wow. That's pretty crazy. Hope no one gets hurt. I wonder if Firefighters will be able to put it out before it comes down.

Found this review of the hotel

For 2 nights for $350 it was the worst hotel I ever stayed at in Vegas. Then we were told that we could take our gambling points off of the bill, it ended up to be only for food. Their buffet was the worst.
My daughters love to go to the spas at the hotels we stay at but they went to look at the spa and both of them said it was not good at all. All in all I have been to Vegas many times, we try to stay at different places and would never stay or recommend Monte Carlo to anyone.

hotels.about.com...

This is not new for the owners of the Monte Carlo for they also own the MGM GRAND which also burned down in the 80's.

From wiki

On the morning of November 21, 1980, at about 07:10 PST, a fire broke out in a delicatessen at what was then the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino (now Bally's Las Vegas) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, a well-known, 26-story luxury resort with more than 2,000 hotel rooms. The event remains the worst disaster in Nevada history.

About 5,000 people were in the hotel and casino at the time of the fire. Smoke and fire spread through the building, killing 84 people and injuring 785, including tourists and employees. There were 87 deaths in total, including three as a result of injuries sustained in the fire. Most fire damage occurred in the casino on the second floor and its adjacent restaurants, although most of the deaths were caused by smoke inhalation on the upper floors of the hotel. Openings in vertical shafts (elevators and stairwells) and seismic joints acted as chimneys and spread the smoke and heat all the way through the 26th floor.

Why is that??...These two fires can not be compared. This started on the roof. Why would it collapse? Yours and Ivans comments make no sense.

Perhaps there was something/someone in that hotel that needed to be removed.

Or perhaps it's a decoy - to divert your attention from something. Las Vegas is in Nevada. Area 51 is in Nevada too. Even though Area 51 is yet another decoy (to promote the extraterrestrial propaganda and to divert your attention), the state of Nevada still has its secrets.

Or....Maybe someone was just smoking in bed and this has nothing to do with aliens, conspiracies, the government, the mafia, or anything like that. Accidents DO happen.

Now that is what a REAL fire in a highrise looks like. Not what we saw of WTC7.

Fire doesnt cause steel structured buildings to collapse....well except for three.
