In a 60-34 vote, the Senate today defeated an initial attempt “to strip immunity for telecommunications companies” out of FISA.

This is not only disturbing it is infuriating. Why would any just government allow corporations to break laws regardless of who asked them to do it (Bush).

IMHO this is a sad day for democracy and justice.

PS...I resubmitted this because I guess I am just too slow to do it correctly the first time.
