As we continue to hijack this post.[sorry] I do not approve the lifestyle, but I do not condemn the person. Why can you disagree with me and not
condemn me without me being able to do the same. I haven't make any rude jokes about homosexuals nor have I resorted to derogatory bias. Can you say
the same about my faith?

p.s. in respect to the o.p. I will not respond to any more posts concerning my beliefs. Say what you will. Do as you will. Face judgement like all

Its amazing how psychopathic alot of people are in this country.
Live by the bible, die by the bible- These are the people you see protesting at abortion centers, picketing at gay celebrations, sending hateful
messages "in the name of the lord".
Any god who supports these people- is a god that no-one wants to meet. Let them live, make their mistakes, then suffer for them.
The worlds a melting pot of diversity- now adding to that mix is homosexuality. Its another indifference that people just need to accept. I'm not gay
but I am a humanitarian and this treatment is inhumane.
God forbid I drive by and see something like this- It'll be like grand theft auto
"Psycho church pedestrian...*Smack* 10 HIT points!"

The sad part is, there are so many people in the world that genuinely do get help from Christian groups around the world (as well as other religions
that do the same,) yet here we see an example of a group that takes their god and uses his name in order to spread hatred and intolerance. Very sad
indeed.
BTW, I'm not going to get too deep into this, but I have to ask, why in the world is it that some people believe that gay people need
acceptance from others in order to be gay? I have never met a gay person that goes around saying "I hope the Christians accept me!" Doesn't
work like that. And I know a lot of gay people.

I'm sorry, Reluctant, I really wasn't intending to have a go at you. I was just trying to illustrate my point.
We may not share the same opinion, but I absolutely respect yours.

Everything I've ever heard about this "church" makes me believe they are just a bunch of nutcase's that have found each other and formed a group.
It's sad they use they use religion as a cover for being a bunch of a-holes.

Why doesn't someone tip off the authorities that these people are a "David Koresh" type cult? Then the feds can use cyanide gas to kill them like
at Waco.
But, on a serious note....kinda.
Does old Fred remind you of anyone?
Not just looks either. Both suppossed preachers of a cult that have lead their flock down the wrong road.
If you don't get the reference.

Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks so.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR (your fellowman)
These abhorrent religious zealots have NO MORALS. They are hellbent on preaching and calling the rest of the world dykes and homosexuals without
proof. Even of they had proof...so what and who really cares? Whatever floats your boat.
Personally I think they are all victims of sexual trauma (a shot in the dark) perpetrated by their illustrious leader. That's what always
happens in religious cults...rape, extortion, paedophilia, incest. They are fixated with faeces because they live in it.
They thrive on the hatred they generate.
To picket the funerals and memorial servcies of anyone is an extremely immoral act. It only hurts those still living, in particular the family members
so where is the logic in that ??
I totally agree with tasering these weirdos and then locking them up at St. Scholastica's Hospice for the Religiously Insane
Thank you to the people who posted the vids
take care all

That puts you in a completely different category than the Phelps crew, so I don't think you should take the anger directed at them as if it was
directed at you.
Personally, I think you can have whatever religious beliefs you feel are correct, so long as you're not forcing them on anyone else.
I do think slamming all Christians based on a distaste for Fred Phelps is crazy.
It's the same kind of nonsense religious bigotry that claims all Muslims are like Osama Bin Laden.

this church came to santa fe new mexico to protest something a few years back. several of my friends were talking about going and harassing them. i
think the theme was beat the # out of them. they were informed by another friend that this is part of their strategy. the harassment is as disgusting
as it is to cause people to lash out against them. they then use it as n opportunity to sue for money and for the publicity.
i guess the best thing to do would be to just let them tire themselves out. paying no attention to them would most likely be the best thing one could
do.
as a us citizen this is one more thing that makes me hang my head in shame.

Every Congressional Act in your country is given a name, and often the name elicits as much debate as the content of the legislation.
But it is self-evident that it is indecent to picket the funeral rites of any person. But you lot can call it "The Stop Crazy-Arse Christers from
Ruining Funerals Act" as far as I am concerned. (They ain't Christians, so I calls 'em 'Christers'.)
[There is often some psy-ops at work in the naming of a piece of Legislation in former parts of the British Empire such as the Defense of Children Act
which actually results in children being deprived of their families and raped and killed whilst under the "care" of the government.]

Not to pick on you, but do those statements really set you above Fred and his crew?
I guess I can't really say anything though because of what I said about Waco, but I was joking.
Cheers.

This always prompts the question:
"Why does someone such as Heath Ledger have to die....yet these hateful disgusting people - the Phelps - are allowed to continue to live?"
I just dont get it. Is there any justice in this world? Ugg.
When I heard of his death, later in the day, I expected to hear news of the lovely Phelps acting up again.

There have been a couple of documentaries about the Westboro Baptist Church here (UK). In each, a presenter/journalist stayed with them for a week or
so with cameras to get inside their minds etc. Both were very entertaining, but its shocking how unmistakably cult like this church is. Their beliefs
are so ingrained, and they rebuke scrutiny and debate out of hand. Its obvious that they are all brainwashed, and pretty sad for the kids that are
born into it really.
They run this charming website too: www.godhatesfags.com...

Well I believe the bible and all that is in it(this will probally get me tared and feathered on this site)and I dont agree with the gay lifestyle, but
I refuse to protest a funeral and agree that the people who do should be zapped. For this church to protest because of a fictional character that this
man once played is beyond words, but to protest a funeral irregardless of the mans/womans belief, lifestyle or job is just beyond belief

I have personally been told that I was going to burn in hell by several "born again Christains" because I dont believe in the EXACT same teachings
they do.
How is this different than the Phelps'???
They just get more press time.

They only do this because it gets them media coverage... they thrive on our "outrage". That bozo admitted on "the Ron and FezShow" that's the
reason they do it.
