Where we stand now
The team debate series has an uncertain future at present. It's up to all of the participants to determine that tournament's future. Considering the
very relaxed nature of the team debate series, if someone participating in that series joins this tournament, they can probably be given extra time in
the team series so that the two debates don't interfere with eachother.
We have 14 debaters now out of a field of 24. There are 10 spots remaining open. This is the current order of priority, in case there we end up with
too many fighters. This order will change slightly if people hold debates before the tournament.
Experienced fighters who have not yet entered will be inserted into the list in order of ranking (the numbers on the side)
(This is where a new debater goes if he wins 2 debates before the tourney)
(This is where a new debater goes if he wins a debate before the tourney)
(everyone still above this line when the tournament starts gets a first round bye, assuming we have 24 fighters).
(This is where new debaters with no experience go if they haven't already signed up)
I'm going to send U2U notifications to experienced fighters to bring more of them in.
Although this is subject to change, right now you should expect the list to become final on February 14th. That gives you 3 weeks to get your ranking
up and to study past debates. If it works out, then
Round 1 will begin on February 15th.
