The first debate tournament for 2008 is tentatively planned to begin in mid to late February.
We can accept up to 24 fighters if demand is sufficient. If there is no sufficient demand, we will use the classic 16 fighter bracket.
This will be a seeded tournament, with the highest ranked fighters facing the lowest ranked in the early rounds, which means both exciting action in
the late rounds as well as big opportunities for those who feel under-rated to score big upsets.
*If we use the 24 fighter model, the 8 highest seeded fighters will recieve a 1st round bye.
In case of excessive demand, preference will be awarded by ranking, meaning that new fighters who wish to participate would be advised to set up
challenge matches immediately to increase their ranking prior to the tournament.
