Hi everyone. Sorry if I have posted in the wrong thread.

I have just returned from Gran Canaria and after looking at the holiday photographs I noticed something strange in one of them. Well, I don't know if it's strange. I just don't know what it is.

Have a look and tell me what you think. It's at the top of the picture just off centre to the right. I'm thinking maybe it was dirt on the camera. Or maybe I clicked just as a fly was passing by.

Anyway here it is:

Pic of the sky

You zoom in on the picture then you can download it if you wish.

I have not altered the photo in any way. It was transfered from my camera to the pc.

Hard to say, i downloaded the pictures onto my hard disk and had a quick look at it. Zooming in doesn't do much, as the resolution of the picture is quite low, so close up the 'object' just looks like a few black pixels, with lighter ones around it. It could be anything at all, it's just too tiny too make anything out.

I don't know. Maybe a bird or bug thing. It's common for people not to notice taking pictures of them because they're just so ordinary. Because of the contrast, it's a little hard to tell how big or far away it is. It does seem to have little wing thingies on it, though. A big, fat bug thing.

The camera resolution was set to 1600x1200. It's a 2 meg camera.
I can zoom right in on my hd.

Looks funny though. When you zoom right in it looks like it's got 2 little arms.

Damn, so it's not a little green man flapping his arms like crazy because he's underestimated our gravity.

Eh. Who knows. Dirt on the lense? Baloon? Black bird? Flying Alien? Flying reptillian?

Here it is blown up. Way too hard to tell!

It looks a lot better on my pc. You cannot make out it's little "arms".

Is there a way I can upload my picture into my post with better quality?

Cheers

I didnt do any editing to the picture except cutting out the area and enlarging it (in photoshop). I used no filters, etc.

Are you using Photoshop to edit it (enlarge it)?

You can upload your edit to www.photobucket.com (free) and use the IMG code in your post

Your better off using yousend . (Or any FILE hosting site. Picture hosting sites will compress it )Then link it here . That way the site cant compress it at all . It will have to be downloaded . Or you could setup a small private ftp . That would get ya a perfect copy too.

Could possibly be a weather balloon. Black balloons are common overseas apparently, we however do not stock them anymore. Can anyone see if there is anything hanging a fraction below the object? That may indicate that it is a balloon
