From a co-worker, I kid you not, I swear to god, I just got asked this.

Question- If a person is getting message "This will erase the contents on the harddrive on this computer do you wish to continue Y/N" I press NO, right?

:bnghd:

And people ask me why I went back to college.
I can't believe I actually have a valid reason to use this pic now.

Yep, that's a dumb question, little doubt of that, lol. Dumbest? I don't know about that, but it's sure in the conversation.

Too funny, libra.

In my first two years of university, I provided technical support for Microsoft as a means of keeping some cash in my pocket. Some of the customers I had to deal with left me cringing. When it comes to anything technological, nothing would surprise me anymore.

Over the holidays they are just swamped with calls, and would you believe that one customer waited almost three hours on hold just to ask me if he could still access his email. I asked why he would have a problem anyways, and he said his house was flooded and his computer is under four feet of water. Uhh, that might be a problem.

Or the dreaded mother trying to justify why she has a hard drive full of porn. "Umm, excuse me? I seem to have several full length feature films of a pornographic nature on my computer. How can I get rid of this Spyware? I just went out and spent over $100 on software to have it removed."

"Ok, how old is your son?" "How do you know I have a son?" "Teenager?" "...Yah"

Not spyware my dear, just a curious teenager.

Pokes fun at a lot of dumb questions.

ironically, dealing with customer support, there are people just as dumb reading from those canned solution-guides as well.
