A 3-foot-diameter water main burst on Chicago's North Side early Tuesday, gushing out thousands of gallons of water that crumbled pavement and turned a major street into a small lake.

Our infrastructure rots and we abandon major cities while we pour 100s of billions into a failed war in Iraq. To win hearts and minds and feather Cheney's retirement fund from Halliburton, we rebuild infrastructure we had bombed a few years earlier, only to see it attacked by insurgents.

This is the American Way.

Why don't we just hire the illegals? They're already here, and they are willing to work cheap. Tell them that their choices are to rebuild the infrastructure, or serve in the war, then they'll earn their citizenship.
