This is normal right? Doesn't have anything to do with global warming or cooling or whatever.
Never seen or heard this one before, it's a strange phenomenon nevertheless.

Thats called an Ivu, more commonly known as an ice shove. Ocean currents and wind push already existing thin ice sheets onto the shore. It is quite common in cold windy environments and can be potentially damaging to coastal properties. It isn't a rare phenomenen, just strange
