India has launched an Israeli military satellite into polar orbit.
The launch vehicle used is the workhorse of the Indian launching program, the PSLV.
The polar orbit of the satellite is a key requirement for the Israelis to keep an eye on the Iranian nuclear program.
The satellite is reported to have a 1m resolution and is an all-weather system.

Can this satellite look at underground activities aswel?

If not than mightaswel just use it to check the weather conditions in ISrael.

I think you can answer that question yourself!

And I'm sure you can also appreciate the fact that, aerial(surface) surveillance of underground facilities can provide deep insight into activities that are not in immediate view. Its called the art of intel image interpretation.
Its not a transparent view of course, but neither is it an opaque view. I like to call a translucent view.
