Tu-160 and Tu-95 strategic bombers will launch cruise missiles within the framework of command and staff exercises that are taking place in the armed forces, air force chief of staff, General-Colonel Boris Chel'tsov, announced.

According to him, during the exercises, tactical and fighter aircraft will carry out interception of aerial targets and bombing missions.

“Special attention will be devoted during the exercises to the interaction of air force and air defense units with other types and kinds of armed forces," the general reported.
