Hi

I belive that when humanity takes control of our evolution (if were not already with drugs etc) humanity would move so far forward as a race there would be many adaptions in the first few years as a precursor probably to do with longevity etc.

Eventually humans would begin to split from one another as we modify ourselves to suit our new surroundings which would probably be other planets like mars for example (after some terraforming) this brings me to the first level of human adaption:

The Solar man
The solar man is a human being heavily adapted to suit his surroundings on his own planet, if someone lived on mars because of the difference in gravity humans could grow much taller and need less muscle mass for example, after years of evolution on their home planet and colonisation of new planets the human race will begin to branch off

The Starman
After the human race has become "fragmented" I belive people will begin to adapt themselves for space travel a lot of our redundent systems to be removed e.g. digestive system and lungs in favour for a more direct method e.g. osmosis and photosynthesys of course it would need a lot of refining to get the correct output of energy required for the human body the only other thing you would need is a space suit capable of traveling at huge distances, but at this stage in human history i wouldn't see it as a problem if we have already colonised many planets.
However a space suite may not be the only method of travel there may be some way a human could emit energy or modify gravity to travel through space oviously this is years away and who really knows.

If it is possible for a human being or starman to emit energy then maybe a starman is not the final stage maybe it is pure engery as many have said

Another idea I wonder if its possible Starmen will have a pack social sense all of them roaming in huge packs landing on a planet taking some resources and .ing off again

interesting theory, if we do indeed get that far along i think natural evolution may have some steps in the process who knows with genetic enginering and drugs we may end up so diffrent that we no longer resemble humanity as we know it now. i think the shift to beings of oure energy would take a very long time if it can happen at all by normal means. considering that as far as we know there arnt any examples of such a sever shift. unless the human acthualy has a soul in which case the transition from living body to pure soul body could its self be considered a form of evolution to a form of pure energy.

I remember reading a paper by this doctor who said that after three generations on Mars, patients would have to see a specialist, after six generations they would need a totally different kind of doctor as organs and body systems shift to accommodate the gravity on mars. These humans wouldn't be able to return to Earth as their immunity to organisms within our biosphere would be non-existent.

Got a link, that sounds pretty interesting reading!

I think that we will also use nano technology if not then eventually that will have a library of known "solar" infections and viruses and enough information for our advanced immune systems to detect and destroy

Another possible adaption we may make to our genetic's in a medial and designer sense may be to increase the length of a gene that produces myostatin aparently the longer the gene is the less myostatin is produced. Or something like that check this source.

Myostatin is a chemical that limits muscle growth aparently apes and monkeys have less of it than we do giving them enchanced muscle growth on average monkeys and apes are 7 time stronger than a human.

A toddler in the source above has a rare mutation that means he produces less myostatin, the toddler has bulging muscles and a six pack

Apparently there is a drawback too, they cannot run as well.
